Chapter 9. Ancestral Assistance

Korrey POV....

"Please help us bring my brother back" Kamaria said as we all huddled around Kieran crying.

"Korrey you can do this" Grandma said to me and I looked at her like she was crazy.

"I've never done that before how can I even" I nervously asked.

"Think about him coming back and being alive again and here again think of the love Korrey that's the magic" she said and I nodded.

"You can do it Korrey I'll help" Kamaria said putting her hand on my back.

Kyle and Keegan came around us and put their hands on. I closed my eyes and couldn't feel anything but death at first. I felt the pain he been through and then I couldn't feel anything anymore.

"I can't" I said crying.

"I might have to go get him from the realm if that's where our bloodline goes" Kamaria said.

"Maybe that can work you can stop him from crossing over so that Korrey can bring him back" Grandma said.

She laid next to Kieran and took his hand then closed her eyes. I closed my eyes and thought about Kieran coming back. I pictured him and all of us together and laughing. I really missed my brother and wanted him back.

I put my energy into his and I felt the life coming back to him.

Then he and Kamaria jumped at the same time.

"Oh thank goodness" Kamaria said hugging him.

He was crying and hugged her back. We all hugged him and had a big group hug. We cried and hugged each other.

"I died" Kieran said sobbing.

Kieran POV....

7 days later....

"Calm down Kieran you have to take it easy" Kamaria said walking out to the backyard.

I was back her while it was raining just practicing. It's been raining while the sun was shining for the past 5 days and that's never a good sign.

I've felt so different since coming back from the literal brink of death. I was so close to crossing over to the other side when Kamaria showed up and stopped me. I was happy to see her because I almost accepted my fate. I knew it was a possibility one of us could die but not so soon. We barely begun to thrive as the divine five.

"I'm just practicing Kamaria chill" I said forming water balls and freezing them at the same time. It's a work in progress but I think dying made my gifts accelerate.

"It's okay to talk about what you felt" she said and I stopped.

"It's not Kamaria I died! Okay! I died and I contemplated giving this shit up but it's who I am! We're going to defeat that damn origin and go about our lives" I yelled throwing water balls at the sky. 

She came and hugged me and I cried.

"It's okay baby boy let's go inside and take a good smoke session to calm the nerves" she said smiling and I agreed.

"It's just I didn't want to leave so soon Kamaria I'm scared" I said to her before going inside.

"I know I was terrified too but I promise you I'll never let anything like that happen again...I'll die before I let any of you go" she said seriously.
