They sat at the oak desk, Vince intently surveying the office before his gaze returned to Lucius, scrutinizing his broad figure. "Lucius, I have summoned thee hither concerning thy matter; art thou investigating the demise of Lady Aeliana?"
("Lucius, I have called you here regarding your case, you are looking into lady Aeliana's demise, yes?")
Vince inquired, raising a brow.
Lucius let out a sigh, his eyes somber. "Most unfortunate, indeed. I am, yet naught have I uncovered, not even the malefactor. In sooth, there was a flask of ink at the scene... but, well, never mind,"
("Most unfortunately, yes. I am, but I haven't found anything yet, let alone the perpetrator. Actually, there was a flask of ink at the scene... but, well, never mind")
Lucius murmured, his mind adrift as he tried to recall the recent events.
Vince sighed sympathetically, tilting his head at Lucius' hesitation. "Well, could I be of assistance?"
Lucius' eyes widened at this statement, for Vince was well-known in the town; his cases had never gone unsolved. But would this change? Well, it was not the time for conjectures. He began to nod frantically, joyous at the opportunity and desperate for answers—anything that could reveal the truth.
"Yes, yes, it would be a delight!" He stopped himself, realizing his overenthusiastic tone, and lowered his voice. "I mean, if thou art up to it, that is..."
("I mean, if you're up to it, that is...")
He smiled softly, though his expression remained worried. "Of course, don't fret. 'Tis been a strange set of days, and 'tis the least I could do. Besides, it's been a while since my last case,"

Vince remarked, patting Lucius softly on the shoulder before leaving the room. His leather shoes thumped across the floor and then along the carpeted hall. Lucius sat quietly, pondering what doors this new development might open in the case.
