Imani was a fool before anything else. In all honestly, she should've just said 'no' to these people and went on her merry way, but no, she was a fool and started giving them a tour around -maybe hoping they'd drop the case.
Although, they were not as stupid as Imani wished they were.

"And yeah, that's kinda how the goose-cow became the leader of the town." Imani finished explaining the town history, considering how that usually throws people off  a lot.

"That's great Imani but..." Aang looked to his friends on this one, unsure of how to word it and needing a little bit of backup.

"Is there an airbender in this town?" The girl, Katara asked, stepping forward and taking the responsibility.

Imani shrugged, feeling rather childish doing so. "Ion know, I just clean here."

Katara sighed and shook her head before looking to Aang. "See Aang, I'm sorry, but you have to understand that there aren't anymore airbenders. That's why we have to defeat the fire nation an-"

Imani accidently laughed out loud.

When all three kids turned to look at her, the smile was wiped clean off her face and she searched the back of her mind for either an excuse or answer. "Sorry, uh... I just think it's kind ironic 'n all..."

"What? That we're going to defeat the Fire Nation?" The boy, Sokka, questioned, pointing an accusing finger at the girl.

"Well...yeah? I mean, not even the air nomad army could defeat them, and that was 100 years ago. What are three kids going to do that other nation armys haven't?" Imani wasn't trying to be rude, but she wasn't sure how else she was going to word it and still get her point across.

"Well, we have the Avatar." Katara smiled at Aang, and the boy smiled back.

"Yeah, and just so you know, there were never any air nomad armies, that's probably just propaganda by the fire nation to make their cause seem more just." Aang explain, shedding some new light on a scene that Imani has never seen before. "And besides, I'm the Avatar...I'm supposed to bring back balance to the world."

"Aren't you just meant to be a kid right now, though?"
Now, Imani didn't mean for it to come out like that.

But however these guys took it, it made them all speechless. Staring at Imani in a way she couldn't explain. Pursing her lips into a line, Imani nodded her head. "Okay, well, I'm just gonna go...good luck though!"

And Imani couldn't walk out of that town fast enough. She didn't bother going back to her stable of where she was staying for her blanket, because that thing was old and smelled kinda bad sometimes. She just took her bag and whatever was on her as she made her way through the town, leaving as quick as she possibly could.

Imani walked away from this town knowing a few things.
One, was being her face was now on a wanted poster -however made the poster may make her look. She must've been caught using airbending and someone turned her in using her description.
Two, would be that the Avatar was looking for her. And it was clear what he wanted. He wanted her to join his super secret prepubescent band.

But Imani wasn't going to fight a war she had no means in. She didn't start it, she was just living through it. And sure, it would be nice to get away from all the firebenders and her guards, but in what world? All Imani has ever known was the world with the war, and for a 100 years, that's all that the world knew as well.

This wasn't going to be Imani's fight. She didn't want to fight. Simply just because she had a skill that was supposed to be exist doesn't mean she has to go full kung fu on an entire nation. She never asked for this, she was just born.
