I awaken to the sound of ocean waves gently crashing against the shore

I awaken to the sound of ocean waves gently crashing against the shore. It almost lulls me back to sleep, but the squawking seagull through my window interrupts the peace.

I shift over in my bed, now overlooking the deep navy blue ocean through the large window, but the large seagull obstructs my view.

Still squawking, I slowly rise from the bed, yawning and stretching, and make my way to the window. The persistent noise of the seagull flying away, still squawking, exacerbates my headache.

I rest my arms on the windowsill and gaze out at the ocean. It's breathtaking—the waves crashing rhythmically against the shore, their frothy crests sparkling in the early morning light. The salty breeze carries the scent of the sea, and the sound of the tides is both powerful and soothing, a perfect symphony of nature.

God, I am so grateful that Summer's parents are rich and let us stay in their beach house this weekend. The place is stunning.

I glance at the alarm clock; it reads 7 AM. Reluctantly, I leave the window and head towards the serene bathroom, passing through the room with sandy tones and nautical decor. The sound of waves adds to the tranquil atmosphere.

In the bathroom, seafoam green tiles and a vintage-style sink create a charming feel. Morning light filters in, highlighting potted plants. I brush my teeth and apply skincare, feeling refreshed and hopeful for the day ahead.

I walk downstairs to make morning coffee in the kitchen and see Dixi making toast in the toaster. The kitchen has a beachy vibe, with light blue cabinets and white countertops that remind me of the sea and sand. Seashells and starfish decorations are scattered around, and there's a large window that lets in plenty of natural light, giving the room a bright and airy feel. Dixi, with her tousled blonde hair and a cozy oversized sweater, looks at me with tired eyes and says, "The rest are still in bed." Her dimples show as she gives a small, sleepy smile, and her freckles stand out against her sun-kissed skin.

After finishing our breakfast, Dixi and I make our way upstairs to wake up Summer and Kimberly separately. We gently knock on their doors, and after a few moments, they emerge from their rooms, rubbing their eyes and smiling sleepily.

Summer's chestnut brown hair is slightly messy, and she's wearing a comfy pair of shorts and a tank top. Her face is heart-shaped with soft, delicate features and bright eyes. Kimberly, with her fiery red hair waterfalling down her back, looks cozy in her oversized pajama pants and a loose t-shirt. Her face is more angular, with high cheekbones and a sharp jawline.

Summer and Kimberly head straight downstairs the kitchen to eat breakfast. The creaky wooden steps add a rustic charm to their descent, making the coastal beach house feel even more inviting.

As Summer and Kimberly finish their breakfast, Dixi and I saunter off to our rooms to put on our swimsuits, for a planned day at the beach. I put on my favorite navy two-piece swimsuit, and I have to say, it really accentuates my hourglass figure. The fabric hugs my curves just right, and my ribs and glowy skin stand out against the navy color.
