My alarm blares loudly, jolting me awake. I groan and fumble for my phone on the nightstand, finally managing to turn off the 6:30 AM alarm. I lay there for a few moments, blinking away the sleep, before grabbing my phone to scroll through social media. After about 15 minutes, I stretch and reluctantly get out of bed, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves for my first day of college.

I head to my dresser, pulling out a white half-shirt and ripped denim shorts for the day. With my outfit in hand, I make my way to the bathroom. I turn on the shower, waiting for the water to reach the perfect temperature. Stepping under the warm stream, I feel the water wash away the remnants of sleep. I lather my hair with shampoo, massaging my scalp, and then rinse it out thoroughly. Next, I apply conditioner, leaving it in while I scrub my body with a fragrant body wash. The steam envelops me, creating a calming atmosphere. After rinsing out the conditioner, I turn off the water and step out, feeling refreshed.

I wrap myself in a towel and start my skincare routine, carefully applying each product. I brush my teeth, then dry my hair, letting it fall into its natural waves. Once dressed in my chosen outfit, I apply a touch of mascara to my lashes.

Exiting the bathroom, I put on my jewelry. I glance over at Dixi, who's softly snoring. Checking my gold watch, I realize it's already 7:40 AM. Sighing, I walk over to her bed and gently shake her. "Dixi, you need to wake up. We leave in one hour," I say. She yawns, her eyes fluttering open, and her blonde hair is tousled in every direction.

She suddenly jumps up and shouts, "It's our first day of college!" I can't help but laugh at her excitement. "If you want to make it to Starbucks, you better get moving," I say, raising an eyebrow and moving to sit on my own bed. I scroll through my phone, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement bubbling inside me as she rushes to get ready. Finally, at 8:15 AM, she's ready, and we leave the dorm, heading to Starbucks. We chat excitedly about our first day, sharing our hopes and dreams for this new chapter in our lives. The morning air is crisp, filled with the promise of new beginnings, and our hearts are full of anticipation.

Dixi and I are chilling at Starbucks, chatting about our classes and schedules. I'm aiming to be a pediatrician, so I've got biology, chemistry, and calculus lined up. My first class starts at 10 AM, and it's only 8:30 AM now, so we've got some time to kill.

"Isn't it great that we have a Starbucks right next to campus?" I say.

"Yeah, it's awesome. All my babysitting money will basically go to coffee now," Dixi laughs, sipping her drink. The place is packed with other college students, and it feels kind of cozy.

We chat for another 20 minutes before deciding to head out. I grab my purse and start walking, but I accidentally bump into someone. I look down and see a vanilla cake pop on the floor. Dixi, whose behind me, steps on my shoe as I stop.
