"I'm not gonna lie, Tay, The Eras Tour may be the most genius thing that anyone has ever done" Travis tells her after his first show as her boyfriend. He'd seen the show before, the famous saga of the failed friendship bracelet, but now, backstage with her in Buenos Aires, he's staring at her in awe.
"Really?" she asks, interest in his statement genuinely piqued.
"It's so fucking special Taylor, you're so special. The emotional journey the show takes me on every single time. Golly and the Swifties," Travis praises and Taylor's mind wanders.

"You think you're so special, Taylor;" Joe's tone is sarcastic but malice is interlaced in his words. He's saying it jokingly so if she gets upset he can claim its friendly banter. Like he's done nothing wrong, said nothing wrong, and it's her that's being dramatic by getting upset. However, Taylor knows, because she's seen this before, that he means what he's saying and he's conveying a message; she isn't that special, she's replaceable to him and to everyone.
"I thought it was a good idea" she says, her voice coming out small. Joe softens and takes her into his arms kissing her forehead. Taylor had just pitched the idea of the Eras Tour to him. Something she'd come up with on her run through the English countryside that morning. Midnights, her new album, was set to release later in the year and she wanted to do a tour for it but it had been so long since she toured and she had released new albums plus the rereleases. She wanted to honour all her work and the only way to do it would be to do something no one had ever done before.
"It's not a terrible idea but no one's going to want to go to a three hour concert when they don't know the majority of the material."
"You don't think my fans know the old stuff anymore? Even the Taylor's Versions?" she asks. Taylor had wondered that when the idea came to her, however, she was pretty sure that people did.
"They might but not enough to go to a three hours concert and they may have already seen it." Joe explained, tucking section of her hair that had fallen forward behind her ear. "Just tour Midnights, my love, you'll do a good job."

Travis is still yapping away when Taylor covers his mouth with her lips. Kissing him deeply and passionately. It lasts for longer than a backstage kiss should and then she pulls away, smiling so hard at him. It's new to Taylor, having someone support and deeply respect her creativity. Sure, Joe would praise her but he never supported her innovativeness. He thought she was average and she should stick to the status quo.
"What was that for?" he asks, returning her smile.
"I appreciate your support, more than you'll ever know."
