Chapter 4

At Rastogi Mansion:

“Annu beta where were you? You again skipped your breakfast today, didn’t you?”
“Sorry Ma but you know I hate Karela (bitter gourd) and you had prepared karela curry. How should I eat that Ma?!”
Anika said falling on the floor.
“Please don’t overact. If you wanted something else you could have asked me or Badi Ma, and we would have prepared something else for you”
“Ma I didn’t want to give you guys more work.”
“Don’t give reasons for skipping breakfast. If you really wanted to eat, you could have asked any of the servants to make you something. But you didn’t want to eat, that is all!”
“Mummy, Ma don’t get angry my Jaaneman I love you so much I swear I won’t skip from tomorrow….. Now at least smile na.”
“It's not about getting angry beta I don’t want you to starve yourself that’s it.”
“I know that Ma, okay now I am really hungry I will go change, you serve me the hot sizzling lunch that you made for me.”
“Okay go change but come down fast don’t sit with your work again”
“I’ll be coming in 2 minutes Ma”
At the lunchtime:
“Papa I took up the case I was telling you about yesterday”
“Which one beta? What is it about?”
“It’s of RK Group of Companies. They have falsely been accused of giving their employees heavy work and no proper salary, but when I went through their posts and the pay slip it was alright and even Mr. Shah had requested me to take up this case so I am working on it.”
“Hmmm… did you ask them about who could have done this? It will be easy for you to crack down on the case.”
“Yes Papa I did, they are saying it might be their business rivals.”
“I have heard it’s a big company so why they don’t have a legal team.”
“They had one previously but they couldn’t crack down the case and they were suspected of being involved in the conspiracy as they have been dragging this simple case for months now. They have a very important project on hold due to this.”
“Okay… so beta tell me under which section will you file this case?”
“Papa.. seriously you still want to test me? Okay I will file it under section 482 for false accusations and under section 499 for Defamation”
“That’s my daughter. Very good beta proud of you”
“Thank you, Papa. I am your daughter after all!”
“Okay father and daughter have lunch in peace at least” scolded Badi Ma.

At Anand Nivas:

Maya Ji and Bhavani Ji had taken the house on their head and were preparing for the next day’s Pooja with a lot of stress.

Raghu’s Pov
“I am home.” I said and entered just to see how mummy and chachi were tensed”
“Mummy Chachi! what is wrong with you people why are you so tensed?”
“Pandit Ji will come early in the morning. There’s still so much work left to do.”
“I can understand but don’t take so much stress, everything will be fine” I tried to comfort them.
“From morning both are troubling us”
Papa, Chachu, and Ranveer cried together.
“Pandit Ji is coming and that too for Pooja why are you both acting as if the Prime Minister is coming home.”
“You won’t understand go change and come. Then help us with the preparations, go fast!”
I was tired as hell but still, I didn’t have a choice.
Time skips, at the dinner,
Author’s pov
“Everything is set for tomorrow. I hope Pandit Ji likes the preparation.”
“Of course mumma, we all have worked so much for this. He will like it don’t worry.” said Raj
“Everybody get up early and dress accordingly for tomorrow’s Pooja is very important. Understood?” ordered Rudraksh Ji.
“Yes,” all the three brothers and Priyanka answered together.

Next Morning:
“Welcome Pandit Ji, I hope your journey was good” Rudraksh Ji and everyone welcomed Pandit Ji.
“All the things you had asked for are ready Pandit ji.”
“Thank you, my daughter. I will start the Pooja in 15 minutes.”
Pandit ji completes the Pooja and asks everybody to ask their wishes to god.
“Everybody come and take the blessing from Lord Satya Narayan.” said pandit ji.
Everyone came ahead and got the blessings.
“Do you like any girl?” pandit ji asked looking at Rajveer.
Rajveer stood in confusion for a few seconds and asked “No, pandit ji there is nothing like that”
“What happened pandit ji?” Maya ji asked in concern.
“Raj Beta come here, show me your hand”
“Yes pandit ji” Rajveer forwarded his left palm to Pandit Ji.
“Are you not looking for a bride for him?” pandit ji asked Raj’s parents.
“We were asking about it to him pandit ji but he doesn’t want to get married now.”
“Why Raj beta? Why aren’t you ready to get married? Is something wrong?”
“No pandit ji, there is no problem. I just wanted to focus on my work and our company.”
“I can understand that beta, you are really dedicated to your work but you have to make time and build your family also. What is your age now?”
“I will be 28 in the next 5 months.”
“Maya and Rudraksh you have to get him married before he turns 28 because after that he can’t get married for eight years after that.”
Everyone including Rajveer was shocked as nobody was expecting this and they were not planning a wedding at least this year.
“But pandit ji we have only 5 months how can we do everything in such a short period” Maya ji exclaimed.
“Yes pandit ji we have to look for a suitable girl from a good family and on top of it, it’s going to be our first son’s wedding. We have to plan everything in a grand way” Said Bhavani ji.
“Yes, I know there is a lot of work but there is no other way. If he completes 28 years then he can’t be married till becomes 36. And don’t worry about the girl I can see his bride will be like a long-lost daughter for you all. She will come into your family like a boon and you all will meet her soon” said Pandit ji.
“As you say Pandit ji” Rudraksh ji agreed.
“I will take my leave now. Next time come with the horoscopes of your son and your daughter-in-law. Understood?”
“Yes pandit ji. Thank you so much for coming and performing the Pooja.”
Pandit ji left and everyone looked surprised after what pandit ji had said.
