Anika’s pov:

“yes…YES, found it.” I shouted as I got a crucial lead in Khanna’s case. I have been researching and reading all the incident-related documents carefully to find a loophole or some point that can be helpful to win the case.
I also showed a few papers to Father, and I was all set for the hearing day.
Anand Nivas
Author’s Pov:
Raghuveer gets a call from Anika.
On the phone:
“Good Morning Mr. Raghuveer, Annika here.
“Good Morning Ms. Anika, any update on the case?
“Yes, I have found a few points that can help us with the case. I have sent you all the details please check and be ready for the hearing next week.
“That’s great news thank you so much Anika, see you in the courtroom next week.”

Call ended.

“Bhai, Papa where are you guys?” Raghu asked searching for them.
“What happened Raghu why are you shouting”
“Bhai Anika has found some points that can help us with the case and she said the hearing will be next week.”
“That’s good I hope she manages to win the case for us.”
“she will bhai she sounded very confident”
“Let’s see I will inform Dad about it.”

Next week, On the court hearing day,

Anand Nivas:

“Papa ready? We have to leave in 5mins, otherwise, we will get late.”
“I am ready where is your brother?”
“Coming Papa” Rajveer said climbing down the stairs.
“Let’s go”
Mr. Rudraksh, Rajveer, and Raghuveer left for the court.
At the court:
Author’s Pov,
Anika was waiting outside the court with her father and few of the lawyers from her firm who were accompanying her on this case.
“Mam, I think Mr. Khanna and his sons are here.” Said one of the assistant lawyers.
Raghuveer got out of the car and greeted Anika, “Good Morning Ms. Anika everything set?” he asked shaking hands with her.
“Good Morning Mr. Raghuveer. Everything is ready, and the proceedings will start in another 10 minutes.
“I hope we win the case today and forward it further. Meet my father Mr. Rudraksh Khanna.”
“Good Morning sir, nothing to worry sir everything is in your hands we will the case.
“Good Morning Ms. Anika, that’s amazing.”
“Sir let’s go inside the proceedings will start.”
Everyone went inside the court and waited for the judge to come.
*judge enters*
Everyone in the courtroom stood up and greeted Him.
A few announcements were made before the commencement of the case.
Ending of the argument,
“Your Honor, here are the pay slips and the posts of these employees who have made such an allegation against my client. You can clearly see that the salary promised to them at the start of their job is being credited into their bank accounts every month. Here are the details of the transactions done by my client’s company every month.” Anika argued while submitting few papers to the judge.
“Opposition do you have anything to say about this”
“Your Honor we were not given the documents my opponent is showing you and they may have manipulated them also.” Argued the opponent's lawyer.
“We had given a copy of the evidence we are presenting and we no need to provide full details. One more thing your honor here are the bank details of the opponent; they have received the right amount of money each month.”
“I object your Honor it’s how can she check my client's bank accounts without their permission.”
“Sir we had official orders.”
“Objection overruled” Judge said.
After checking all the documents judge spoke to give the decision.
“After going through all the related documents and shreds of evidence this court has decided that Mr. Rudraksh and his company RK Group of Companies are not guilty of any charges applied by the opponent and the opponent will be given the punishment of 8 months imprisonment and a heavy fine. Court adjourned”.
“Thank you, Your Honor.”
Anika and the Khanna family came out with a smile and sigh of relief.
“Thank you so so much Ms. Anika you are the best” Raghuveer adored.
“Surely, thank you so much Anika beta indeed you are amazing at your work, what do you think Rajveer?”
“Yes yes, Thank you very much I can finally focus on my project now.” Raj said awkwardly as he had doubted her.
“Sir please you are boosting me so much I am not that good also and everything I have learned is from my Papa and Bade Papa.”
“Beta come to our house right; you can have lunch with us today.”
“yes please” Raghu added
“I am really sorry sir but I have an important meeting today which I cannot avoid.”
“Oh, you are a very dedicated person I see. Then at least come tomorrow we would love to host you.”
Anika thought for a second as she didn’t want Mr. Rudraksh to feel low.
“Thank you so much for the invite sir I will be there tomorrow. You have to do this sir.”
“Of course, we have to you helped us a lot by winning this case for us. We will be waiting for you tomorrow for lunch” Mr. Rudraksh said and left with his sons.
At Anand Nivas
“Bhai why were you acting so rude towards Anika what she would think about you? You stood like a statue there.”
“Yes, Raj Raghu has a point it was not good of you just to stand there as we thanked her and invited her for lunch.”
“I am sorry papa but I didn’t know what to say and you two were speaking right I didn’t want to interrupt.”
“No matter why he doesn't have a girlfriend.” Ranveer joked
“Aye shut up I am not like you to change girlfriends like changing clothes.” Raj scoffed.”
“You guys fight I will go tell Maya that her favorite girl will come tomorrow for lunch.” Mr. Rudraksh said and left.

At Rastogi Mansion

Author’s Pov:

“Mummy I am hungry give me something to eat.” Anika asked.
A plate with her favorite Pasta was kept in front of her.
“Mummy is not there at home. Is this okay?”
Anika lifted her face only to see her cousin sister Anamika who had returned from her husband’s place to spend the weekend here.
“Dii… I missed you so much” Anika shouted while hugging her thighly.
“I missed you too mera bacha.”
“Where were you? I came morning only”
“I had a court hearing and an important meeting today Di I am so tried. Thank you so much for making my favorite pasta.”
“Aww, my Baby sister tried. Have food and rest for some time.”
“yes, but Di I will sleep on your lap only”
“ok Baba, have the pasta it will get cold. And I came to know that Choti Ma is thinking of your marriage.”
“Yaar Di please you also don’t start now.”
“What yaar Di? When are u planning to get married? I know it’s a little early but you get to choose freely and enjoy a few years with your partner otherwise if you get married late everyone will simply pressurize you for everything. I was already married at 25.”
“Di please don’t give your example you two people fell in love and got married in 3 months. And not everyone is lucky like you to find a husband like Jijs.”
“What I should do if you don’t like anyone. So many handsome boys had proposed to you and rejected all of them.”
“Chii… handsome none of them were even good looking what are you telling? Di please convince Ma to leave me I will stay in a corner I won't trouble anyone”
“Oh drama queen stop your overacting and I won’t tell you anything to Choti Ma anything even I want to enjoy your wedding as you did in mine.”
Anika started her fake crying to convince her sister.
