You and Yuki were up on a tree. It would be a long story to explain how you ended up here. But you rested your limbs carefully on the tree branch as you stared up at the big blue sky. Yuki sat beside you, his eyes get lost into your own.
He smiled to himself when he noticed the the leaves in your hair, and the abundance of dirt all over you. It reminded him of when the two of you were little. His rather stoic self would avoid others, run away from them and hide in trees.
And following him, was this young girl in pig tails, and tears all over her clothes, mud and dirt covering her form head to toe and leaves and twigs sticking out of her hair. She simply wanted to play with him. In fact, perhaps all of it was a game to her. The young Yuki running and hiding from the pressure of being Sohma, and the young (Name) seeking him out with so much love and joy.
He watched the way your eyes connected with his and your smile grew. There was no way he could've not fallen in love. He knew the moment she seeked him out for the first time, he was done for, she'd captured his heart.
"What're you giggling about Mr. Sohma?" You ask, leaning towards him. He laughs to himself before letting his head rest against yours. "Isn't it funny how things don't change. For example, young Miss Sohma still has leaves in her hair." He responded, offering you a leaf from off your head. "You annoying goof!" You grumbled, gently pushing the boy back. But his contagious smile still reached yours.
"You're in love with this annoying goof, aren't you not?" He asked, a smile on his lips. "And you're in love with this girl who still has leaves in her hair, are you not? You goof?" You retorted, as the both of you shared a laugh. Your laughter soon reached a halt as a beautiful strong brownish black horse collapsed onto the ground infront of you. And soon Tohru came too.
"Is that..." Yuki began, as you observed the horse recognizing her. "Isuzu-chan." You mumbled, as you quickly began climbing down the tree and eventually jumping when the ground was close enough. Isuzu jumped up in surprise at your sudden entrance and seemed to panic. "Isuzu-chan. It's okay. It's just me. Sohma (Name)."
At the sound of your name, she seemed to calm down and make her way towards you. She affectionately nuzzled you, and you wrapped your arms around her. This was Isuzu Sohma, or she was more commonly called as Rin Sohma. She is the spirit of the horse, a brave and strong women who was sent to the hospital for defying Akito. The biggest thing was... she was your sister in law. Or something like that.
"What're you doing here..? You're supposed to be in the hospital." You ask, as she turns into her human form. Tohru runs to get her some clothes as you offer her your jacket for now. Yuki lingers close to you, as Isuzu disregards him. "Don't let anyone know I was here." She softly spoke, yet her sharp eyes met yours.
You had a million questions for her. You hadn't seen her in ages. You've heard of her break up but... there had to be a reason for it. The isuzu you knew.. wouldn't do all this for no reason. You held onto her hand, giving it a squeeze. "..I won't tell anyone you were here, but in return.. what ever you're doing.. don't do it alone." You say, she watches you and smiles at how similar you and your brother truly were.
"I'm here to help, you're not alone. So don't venture of on your own. I'm worried for you. We're worried... he's.. he's extremely worried too." You say, bringing up the person in her heart. The person most worried about her. Her heart churned at the mention of him and she tried to stop thinking.
She places her hand on your cheek, and rests her forehead against yours. A meek smile gracing her features. "It's no wonder you both are siblings." She says, as she steps away and prepares to leave. You grab onto her hand once more; "You have to promise you won't do this alone." You say, offering you one last smile. "This'll all be over soon. We can be with those who we love."
You watch as Isuzu transforms once more and disappears deep into the woods. You had no way to stop her, nothing you could say would stop. There's only one person she would listen to, and she pushed him away. Yuki approached you, resting a hand on your back. You turn towards him, your worry evident on your face.
"I know what she wants to do." You told him, and he watches you. He couldn't control Rin no matter how worried he was for, but he could halt you, and make sure you don't end up in trouble.. because much like how Rin only listened to one person.. you too.. only cared for the words of one person.
He didn't know whether it was selfish or not but he was willing to lie to you.. in hopes of protecting you from the dangers Rin was to fall in; "She will come back. All her answers lie here."
