You and Yuki were taking a walk along the beach, he walked slightly ahead of you but still slowed down to match your pace. You stopped ever so often to pick up a cool looking shell, or stare at the ocean and he stopped to watch the way your face lit up.
You were so busy looking at the ocean that you hadn't realized Yuki had stopped walking, and almost bumped into his back. "Woah! Ki-chan! I almost bumped into your back! Why'd you suddenly stop?" You asked, and grabbed onto the end of his shirt to gently tug it.
When you didn't get a response from him, you moved from behind him to see what caught his attention so much that he was unresponsive and suddenly your blood had gone cold. You felt Akito's cold eyes pierce into yours. And you could feel your entire body going numb from fear. Besides Akito, was Kureno who seemed to offer you an apologetic look.
"Go back to the villa, (Name)." Yuki said, his tone suddenly shakier. He turned to look at you, and you could make out the fear hidden in his eyes, and the slight tremble of his hand. If either of you were to act reckless right now, it would harm the other. In fact, you didn't know how to act.
"Aw, why? I haven't seen (Name) in awhile." Akito says, as he takes wide strides towards you. As if it were instinct, Yuki stood in front of you, acting like a barrier. The hand he hid behind his back, seemed to be shaking in hatred or perhaps it was fear. You reach out and gently grab on to that hand, to let him know it's okay. You lean closer towards him and whisper; "It'll be okay, Ki-chan. You're not alone."
"How have you been, Akito-san?" You ask, stepping out of Yuki's protection and instead bowing your head in respect for the clan leader. "You haven't changed at all since our last encounter, still so brave and fearless." Akito responds, ignoring your question. "Still so meddlesome." He adds, and you simply offer him a smile.
"I'd like to think of it as being more interactive than meddlesome!" You brightly say, as Akito scowls in response. "One day that attitude of yours is going to bring you down." Akito says, his fingers combing through your hair slowly. "I'm glad that day isn't today." You say, and take a couple steps back.
"Well, Akito-san, it seems this encounter has dragged out, and the sun is especially bright today. Shall we finish the conversation later?" You ask, offering Akito another smile as he frowns. He didn't have the energy to deal with you. So he simply turns and leaves.
You turn to Yuki and smile. Yuki watches you, he seemed to be in awe at how bravely you stood infront of him. How fearless you seemed, and how safe he suddenly felt. He couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. "Do you know how dangerous provoking Akito is?" He asks, his voice drenched in worry.
"Don't be so worried, I got rid of him for today!" You proudly stated as Yuki couldn't help but smile. He leans down a little, resting his forehead on your shoulder. All the fear and worry leaving him at the faint sound of your heartbeat. You smiled, and let your arms gently encircle his neck.
"Ki-chan, you don't have to be afraid when i'm here. I'll protect you. Like your knight in shining armor!!" You say, and smile when you hear his laughter.He stands up straighter and gets a good look at your face, while brushing a few strands of hair away from your eyes. "When are you going to let me be the knight?" He asks, as he stares into your eyes.
"When you stop being my damsel in distress, Princess yuki." You confidently say, before sticking your tongue out and walking the opposite way. You could hear his laughter echo through at the beach, once again. You looked back and saw him watching you. "Hurry up, my princess!"
