𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑'𝐒 manor stayed completely silent,with no sound to be heard as dusk fell upon its old structure.
But as per usual,that silence wouldn't last a minute longer.
In fact,peace seemed to be quite unusual to linger around the halls of the potter household,especially after the birth of James and Bridget potter. Two twins so mischievous one could compare them to the Devil himself.
The silence felt longer than usual,a clear indicator to Mia and Fleamont Potter to prepare themselves for the house to erupt into chaos any second.
And the first of September,was no exception.
With a blast upstairs and the tapping sound of the elder twin's heavy footsteps down the stairs,the peace had officially been destroyed.
"James Fleamont Potter I'm going to kill you!" the booming voice and footsteps of the second twin followed after.
The panicked face of James,a tall,messy haired,freckled boy whipped around towards his parents,who both immediately shrugged and went back to preparing their breakfast,silently deciding not to intervene.
They had learned over the years that trying to break up the twins arguments always made it worse for them.
As soon as Bridget set her eyes onto James,all hell broke loose.
"James you fucking idiot!"
He took that as his cue to run for his life.
James bolted around the house,with Bridget following soon after.He then ran around the buffet table,grabbing his mom's shoulders,pulling her in-front of his body to use her as his living, breathing,human shield.
"You wouldn't hurt mom,would you?"He chuckled nervously.
"My room smells like arse now,James. What joy did this marvellous prank get you?"
He grinned,"Well,it was more for the thrill of running away from you,but, now that you're so annoyed,i think i am actually a lot happier than i was ten minutes ago!"
She just huffed and stormed up the stairs,applying extra pressure on each individual stair to send the message that she was indeed,very angry.
