𝐢.𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐫...𝐢 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬

𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 stepped onto platform 9 and 3/4,ready to board the hogwarts express.

She shoved people around,standing on her tippy toes to find a certain red-haired muggleborn,also know as Lily Evans,Bridget's 'bestest friend in the entire world'.

Just as she let her heels touch the ground again,she got swept off her feet by a large and familiar boy.As she squealed,his deep chuckle resonated in her ears,the scarred hands wrapped around her body could only possibly belong to one person.

Remus fucking Lupin.

She squealed;a happy one this time,and turned around to pounce on him,both of them rocking back and forth in their hug.

"Remmy!I missed you!"She grinned up at him,still entangled with his body.

He gently smiled down at her,"I missed you too,bri.How's your summer been?"

"Oh it was great!Quite terrible being with that monstrous friend of yours, he's so annoyi- oh my god,did you know that he decided to throw a couple dungbombs near my bed while I was sleeping and stink up my entire room this morning?!"

Remus just laughed softly,"Bri,that kind of behaviour is to be expected,it's your brother we're talking about here.Where is he anyway?"

"Doing the same thing I was doing before you scared the living daylight's out of me;finding lily!"

He shook his head,"Of course he is,that's my bad for not realising that. Well,I'm off to find Padfoot and Wormtail,See you once we've reached, bri!" He said,starting to walk towards the train.

She waved at him and then turned back towards the crowd, about to continue her search for lily, when lily herself came running up to her, stopping right infront of Bridget and clamping both of her hands firmly onto Bridget's shoulders,heavily panting.

"Lils!I've been searching for you for like the past 10 million ye-Why do you look like you've just ran a marathon?" Bridget asked her with furrowed eyebrows.

"I—had—to—run—away—from—your—dumb—brother—!"Lily answered between short breaths.

Bridget just grinned at her,"So the school year has officially begun,noted."

She gave her a glare and caught hold of her hand,dragging her onto the train.

Lily and Bridget were on a search for a compartment on the train,hoping to find their other friends;Marlene and Alice,on the way.

"Lils,this is taking forever, none of the compartments are empty!"Bridget whined.

"Don't be a baby,it hasn't been that long,we started looking maybe 10 minutes ago,bri."Lily answered,turning back to look towards her friend while yanking open yet another compartment door.

"Lily flower!I was wondering where you went!"The voice of James Potter exclaimed from inside the compartment.

Lily squeezed her eyes shut in regret and turned towards the now open compartment,"I was trying to get away from you,Potter."

He continued grinning,his smile not faltering whatsoever,"Come sit with us!"

Before they had a chance to respond, remus shut the door behind them and smiled,walking into the compartment to take a seat,"Hey lils,Hey bri!Can't find a compartment?"

Bridget shook her head,"Nope,not a single one is empty!it's getting on my nerves."

"Well you can sit with us,that is,if you want to."Remus offered.

"Now that you've offered,we might as well,there's no other option anyways." Lily said,taking a seat next to remus.

James turned to her offended,"I just said the same thing-!"

"Well your opinion doesn't matter James!"Bridget told him.

He glared at her,"Oh yeah?where do you plan on sitting Bridget?On the floor?"

That made her realise that the compartment was completely full,and she would, indeed,have to sit on the dirty,dusty floor and ruin her brand new skirt.

That thought wasn't too appealing.

Just as she was about to give up and actually sit on the floor,a pair of arms reached out from behind her and yanked her down.

She yelped,and clutched onto whoever's arms were wrapped around her.

"Calm down bri,I'm not going to murder you.Just giving you a seat that isn't the floor,that's all."

Bridget then realised that this was her least favourite person on the planet, Sirius Black.

"Get off me!"She tried to pry his arms off.

He just chuckled in her ear,the sound giving her slight goosebumps,"Can you chill out?you're not stronger than me,princess. I'm just trying to help you."

She stopped trying to fight it,accepting the help.

I guess it's better than sitting on the floor.

"Yeah,whatever,black.I'm only sitting here because I don't really have another choice."

"Actually,princess,I think you quite like sitting on my lap."

"What?!Are you mental?",She laughed at him.

"No,I'm being serious,I know that you think I'm the hottest guy you've ever seen,no need to be shy about it."He cheekily smiled at her.

The others had started listening in,and James was about to say something, but Peter grabbed James arm and shook his head.

"Oh yeah?You think I'm in love with you?"

"Yea,matter of fact,I do."

"Oh?So is that your wand in your pocket or are you just that excited to have your hands all over me?"She responded confidently, smiling sweetly at him.

Remus and Peter both let out snickers,and Lily clamped her hand over her mouth to hold in her laugh.

"Okay,you have exactly five seconds to get your paws off my sister,padfoot."

Sirius immediately shoved Bridget off himself,whispering a small apology to her,before bolting out of the compartment.

James got up from his seat,calmly walking after him.

That's going to end well.

She just sighed,her skirt now ruined with the dust on the floor.
