A/N: So here's the second part of Forty-One. No big 'announcements' this time, I promise, lol. I want to thank everyone for their kind words and support. It means the world to me. I wanted to reply to each wonderful, kind comment individually but why would Wattpad ever let me do that? I can't see them now which is super annoying. Hopefully Wattpad fixes itself soon...

Actually, I have a bit of a request from my lovely reading... Can we do a Q&A? About this story? Any plot confusion, character based...anything. They just seem super fun! I'd post them in the beginning of next chapter. So please, please, ask me questions! It's like a dream of mine. It's on my bucket list (as of tonight, lol). So if you have any questions about why someone did this, if you want a character back story, or if I've confused you...even questions to me, about me are cool! So ask away, my darlings. I would really love it!

Peace Out, Girl Scouts

There was rattle on the doorknob that roused us on the fourth day.

Instantly Axel growled out a clear warning to go away. However, the continued to agitate the beast by trying to open it. "C'mon Axel! I can't run this fucking pack! That's your job."

My ears perked as the familiar voice registered. What was his name? Chance? Channing...

Axel snarled again as the lock was broken. The door swung open. Instantly Axel stood, his body crouched over mine, tail stiff, eyes locked on his beta. Axel's teeth were drawn back over his teeth, a frightening snarl bubbling in his chest. I looked anxiously at the beta, seeing no fear in his face. "I'm not here to threaten you, okay? Your father wants you to see him. He says he doesn't want to have to come here himself. He says you won't like it."

Axel grew a bit less tense, lapping the top of my head lovingly. My muscles felt tight which made me want to stretch. I felt soothed and I knew that Axel needed to go and...do his work. I gave him a small nudge with my nose, making him whine and look at me anxiously. I twitched my ear at him, a clear indication to go. Axel grumbled a bit in his chest, hesitantly rising. He jumped from the bed, stretching. I heard a series of pops, no doubt caused from the position he was in with me. "Good," sighed the man as Axel shifted back, throwing on clothes. "We were worried you'd gone all crazy on us!"

"Do you damn job and bring Colton to Austin's. Tell him not to leave or let him out of his sight until I come and get him myself. Understand?"

Axel's tone was hard and furious. His beta just rolled his eyes. "Sure. Gonna get dressed, Colton?"

"Not in front of you!" snarled Axel spinning around and slamming his hand against his chest with enough force to have him stumble out of the room, closing the door. He turned to look at me slowly. "Shift back now, darling."

It felt weird to shift back after being in my wolf form for so long. Axel gave me some pants that must have belonged to the other wolf and then one of his tee-shirts. I didn't mind. I liked to have his scent on me. "I will go as quickly as I can," assured Axel pressing a kiss against my temple. "Austin will you keep you safe and his mate will keep you company."

"Dawson," I said softly.

"Hm?" hummed Axel looking lost.

"His mate's name is Dawson. You always call him 'his mate', like it's his only title. His name is Dawson."

Axel smiled, surprising me. "There's the attitude I know. Okay then, darling. Dawson will keep you company." Axel chuckled a bit, shaking his head. "Omegas now-a-days. Jeez."

I wanted to smile but I was too high-strung and afraid. I toyed with the hem of the shirt as Axel ran a hand ove rhis face, sighing out in stress. I was really happy to not have to deal with this but I hated seeing Axel so...un-Axel-like. Where was the smug smirk? The cockiness? The swagger than suggested everything would turn out just as he planned. I bit my bottom lip as he pulled me against him. "I'll sooner die than let anything like that happen again. Just knowing that I hurt you...like that..."
