Soon enough the siblings gathered together in the living room. The fire crackled under Fives portrait as Charlotte sipped on her drink. It was safe to say the atmosphere of the gathering was in a word awkward.
No one had spoken since they'd all sat down and Charlotte sure as hell wasn't about to be the one to break it. She sat on the opposite end of same couch as Vanya, leaving room for Klaus in between them who was busy making his own drink.
Luther cleared his throat before he said "I guess we should get this started. So I figured we could have a sort of memories service in the courtyard at sundown"
"Yeah no as much as I love you guys I'm not staying here till sundown" Charlotte shook her head at Luther who sighed at her.
"It doesn't matter your staying" he told her as she scoffed "We'll say a few words, just at Dad's favourite spot"
"Dad had a favourite spot?" Allison asked seeing as none of the other siblings even knew about it.
"You know under the oak tree. We used to sit out there all the time" Luther said almost proudly before he noticed all his siblings confused faces "None of you ever did that?"
"No cause none of us were Daddy's number one" Charlotte muttered under her breath as she took a sip from her glass. If she was going to keep listening to Luther's voice she'd need a lot more of these.
"Will there be refreshments?" Klaus asked as he appeared in the living room "Tea? Scones? Cucumber sandwiches are always a winner"
"I'm more of a ham and cheese person myself. Can we have some of those?" Charlotte shrugged while Klaus nodded in agreement.
"What? No to both of you. And put that out. Dad don't allow smoking in here" Luther told them but the pair simply ignored him.
Charlotte was tired of Luther thinking he could become the one to boss them all around. They weren't kids anymore, they made their own decisions now.
"Is that my skirt?" Allison asked and Charlotte just then noticed Klaus new attire.
"Oh yeah this. I found it in your room. It's a little dated, I know, but it's very breathy on the bits" Klaus told them as he gave them a spin.
"Listen up" Luther ordered "Still some important things that we need to discuss, all right?"
"Like what?" Diego asked him and from his tone Charlotte could tell he was also fed up of Luther already.
"Like the way he died" Luther stated making Charlotte furrow her eyebrows.
"And here we go" Diego sighed as Klaus flopped down on the sofa next to Charlotte grinning as the pair got ready to watch the drama unfold.
