|Chapter 10| Current Plan

        Pearl walked by one of the chair near her and then sit down, her eyes steady on the boys. "So, are y'all just going to keep yapping or did I interrupt something super important that y'all can't finish?" She asked in a simple and almost blunt tone, Cail just shook his head and Derick spoke. His eyes flickering between Pearl and Cail, "We're just going to drop it for now." Cail nodded with Derick's words, though he didn't have his eyes on Derick but on Pearl. "Alright then," Pearl paused briefly before speaking again, she was leaning back on the wooden chair, "Have y'all heard of the new discovered bodies, that happened last night?" Derick's eyes widen a little, not sure how to feel about it. Maybe it was linked to what they are doing? Or he could just be that desperate, it was hard for him to tell. Cail spoke this time, "Yep, I've heard that it was not too far from where Avery live. Just cross the street, where a couple lived." He paused as well, letting that information sink in before speaking again with a rather serious expression. "It's been said that the neighbor next door had a bad feeling for some odd reason before they heard a blood curdling scream, it was really late at night. Near midnight at that."  Derick shook his head, having an expression of disbelief. A bit tense from hearing that. 
        As if Derick was to busy processing that information by the time he was back on planet earth, he had jumped a little at the sight of Selia in her pajamas next to Cail. So he was either so deep in thought or Selia had soft footsteps, but he didn't linger on that though. "So, you're saying that it could be the thing  we are looking for?" He asked with a bit of worry in his voice, Cail nodded. "We were hoping to go and ask some questions on it, but it is a bit far from here." Cail said in a bit of a hush tone, "And I don't wanna walk there just from some idiot not want to tell us answers." Derick raised an eyebrow to that, "You mean y'all already tried?" He asked. Selia and Cail nodded, Pearl just scoffed. "Of course we did! Do you know how important this is? Not just for you but for everyone and their children?!" Pearl asked with an unimpressed face. Selia ,who was quiet up to now added, "Their very closed off, and the only person that even uttered anything important  didn't give anything that we needed. Just the story that we heard already." She said with a bit of an edge to her tone. There was a pause of silence before Cail had spoke, "But you can always try, with Avery. Considering he hasn't tried yet either. And it would be annoying to them if we went again." He said calmly, Derick nodded. "Alright then, I shall go now! Bye guys." He said as he got up from his seat and walked out the door, not really waiting on a response or anything.
