|Chapter 4| Detective Gang

    Derick was given a new family by the morning, the 'Collins' family. Mostly made up with doctors, and it had a lot of family members compared to how many Derick had before. But he didn't care, as for he had to know who killed his real mother.Because she didn't deserved to be killed and he didn't deserve to lose her!So when the family introduction was given, he didn't even bother to listen. Though he had to look like he was, so he would just nod his head when he saw their mouths moving. It felt like hours when this happened but it was just pure minutes, at the end something they said made him perk up a little bit. "Oh you must tell your friends about us, so we can know their parents." His new auntie said, she had a bit of a lisp as she talked. Now Derick was not going to tell his friends about them, but he was going to talk with them about the murder last night. And mostly about how unfair it was, 'I bet the murder has a mother too that is quite alive and healthy and will probably live until her 80s!' he thought before speaking to his new family. "So can I tell them now?"  He asked in a polite tone, they nodded as an answer and with that Derick speed of to the triplet's house. 

  Cail was real surprised to see Derick, he thought that Derick would isolate himself from everything and yet here he was. In front of his door, before Cail can even utter a word, Derick said "Call up the gang.Now." he said dead serious before saying "Pwease" at the end with puppy dog eyes. Cail shook his head and smiled, Pearl was out with Seila having a long talk with her about what she had did and Cali knew that but it wouldn't hurt to try. He walked to the family landline and dialed up Pearl's number, "Hello~?". Pearl answered in an annoyed tone, "What do you want Cail Miller?" "Well salty McDonald's hair line, I got a request. Actually, no, I got a command for you. Get your emo self down here we got some tea to stir.And bring Seila too" He said in a higher pitch tone, mockingly. In our time that would be considered a gay tone. 

  Pearl was quietly fuming on the phone, but she hanged up before saying "And that is why you always talk to the hand because that roast was not da bomb.I could have done better, you really be thinking you all that!" And Cail turned back to Derick and nodded. Not too long afterwards did Derick feel someone watching him in the distance, he looked and no one was there.But the feeling didn't go away, so he looked again but no one was there. So he ignored the feeling, until he heard his name being called from the distance. Without hesitation he looked back and saw Pearl,Laurel, Maxwell and  Selia, Selia being super upset and Pearl looking a bit bored but overall glad to see Derick again. While Maxwell and Laurel glad to see Derick because they heard that his mother died.

  Laurel is a tall girl who is just a person who likes comfy clothes, she is a bit tan and she has dark brown eyes and has short nails. She has freckles and she has pure black hair which is in an afro. While Maxwell is a fairly tall boy who likes basket ball, he is the reflection of Laurel and often gets mixed up for being Laurel or a girl in general.

    They walked up to Derick and everyone stepped inside the house, now the only person missing was Avery. Derick didn't wanted to carry on this without Avery so he asked Cail, "Um, did you forget Avery?" And Cail immediately remembered that Avery was part of the group, personally him and Avery had a bit of a tension for some reason. But none the less he called Avery on the landline, "Hello." He tone a bit different from how he does usually talk,  Avery answered on the other line. "What do you need?" he asked in a flat tone, but his undertone was quite cold. "I need you at my house, for Derick. You  see ,he wants the whole group and-" before Cail could finish Avery hanged up.  Cail was confused, he knew Avery didn't really like him but he didn't know that he would do that! Cail looked back at the rest and sighed.

  "What happened?" Pearl asked in an  actual interested tone, but before Cail could answer there was knocking at the door. Cail sighed a sigh of relief that had to be Avery, but Selia opened the door this time. And indeed it was Avery, he was a bit sweaty since he run all the way here. Afterall he couldn't just not comfort his grieving friend, his best friend in his opinion. He was breathing heavy for a while but he manage to talk to Selia, "I'm here." She walked back to the couch where she sat making way for Avery to walk inside, he got his breath slowly while Derick spoke. 
    
    "I've called this meeting for one simple reason" He paused and spoke again but with anger as his undertone, "That murder who murdered my mother has not being found, nor have the police bothered to investigate more on it." Selia's breath was caught in her throat, "T-the murder is still on the lose? WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?!" clearly scared.If this murder knew what he or she or even it at this point, was doing then they would have finished what they started by killing Derick and his friends too! Cail was outraged, "So your telling me, police don't give a damn about this murder?" Derick sighed and spoke again, "This isn't the first murder this murderer has done for sure. The police must of given up." Pearl shook her head, before speaking, "So what do you want us to do? Clearly we ,children, ain't cut out for this. Especially since we have school." Derick smirked at that question, and answered it with ease as he already thought of this, "First of all, we are going into vacation tomorrow so we simply are going to stay at one of y'all's places for it. Second of all, the murder will not suspect a group of children to be on their track and  third of all, next term is sports so we can skip most of the days." Avery nodded at this plan, but there was one small problem "And what will happen if we accidentally run into the murderer while doing this detective work?" Avery asked.

    "Good question, I'll work on that." Derick answered instantly, Selia seemed to calm down but Cail was still outraged at the police. While Pearl and Avery was doing fine, they didn't really have a visible emotion on their faces yet. Maxwell and Laurel is just plain worried for their lives and everyone else's and how it would go and just overthinking everything.It seemed like the plan was perfect to Derick, he would get his revenge justice-ly and everything would be fine afterwards. He would still miss his mom but he would rest at peace knowing the murder was on a death sentence and he will NOT stop until it happens even if it means some sacrifices here and there.
