As soon as Derick walked out and closed the door behind him, he had a burst of joy but slight sadness. Considering someone went through the same thing he did, but with a different family member or just a friend. But he didn't linger on that, because right away he went to Avery. While he walked he then realized that he could of called Avery on Cail's ,and the other's, family phone and tell him about the plan and Avery would have gotten ready before hand. But he has already started walking down the street and he doesn't feel like turning back, so off ahead he goes to Avery.

Though it is still quite strange that just that house got attacked in that neighborhood,  there is no patterns so far and it doesn't make sense. Wouldn't this thing that attack people be rapid? If so, why is it so tame to just attack specific people? Is it attacking out of defense? No, that wouldn't make sense considering the people who were killed were just inside the house. The thing would have to go in the house for a purpose, and there wasn't any items missing from the house. As far as he heard, so it wouldn't make sense. Was people just getting targeted? Is this karma for all the destruction humans does cause on the world? Is there no way to figure out this? Is it just because he is a child? If he were an adult would everything make more sense? Are all these question stupid to begin with? Too many questions honestly, and no answers. At this point, he thought he was better of guessing. But, he remained patient....At least for now.

Slowly he made his way to Avery's house, not minding the people that walked passed him. They were irreverent, they had no purpose in his plan so why should he pay attention to them right now? He had little time and he wanted big results, life is a game of monopoly. (Yes, monopoly was a thing at the time.) You win some, you lose some. There's pros and cons. And right now, the best thing to do is not to waste time. Hopefully this is the right action and wouldn't bit him in the butt later on in life.

Finally, he made it at Avery's house. Gave it a soft knock and waited, knowing his friend, Avery probably wouldn't be up at this time. He isn't a early riser, but Derick knows that Avery's father would let him in and chat with him until Avery is up. So, he just has to wait on that then. It would be a nice change, for even though it's probably only been three or two days, it feels like he hasn't been able to talk about anything but this monster. This accident that made it's way in life. Why does it even exist? To just kill?  But he didn't bother on that anymore, thinking about it would just get him worked up for no reason. Not having any benefits whatsoever, so it is not a good option.

A good silence was with Derick as he waited for the door to open, hearing the cars that pass and the people that walked by. He would of felt awkward if he really didn't care about their opinion right now. But again, he knocked. And thankfully Avery's dad ,Mr.Noman, opened the door. He gave a polite smile to Derick before letting him in, then he spoke as he walked to take a seat. "Well, I didn't think I would see you anytime soon...... Considering the incident and all." He said in a calm and collected tone. Derick sighed deeply before he ,too, took a seat. Even though his mission is a literal reminder of his mother death, it still stung hearing it out loud.  "Yeah, I guess."
He said in a slight meek tone, his hands clasped in his lap. Mr.Noman sighed as well, but it was a bit more light. "I've been wondering, have your new family been treating you good?" Derick thought at that question a little. Have they? Honestly, they've been annoying and clingy. Like he was a fragile little boy....He's not....Right?  Nevermind that back to the question, "Yep." He said in a short and straightforward tone. Mr.Noman didn't immediately say anything else, but he did eventually, "So,um, what you and Avery are up to? I doubt that y'all would just talk in here...So..I figured I would ask." He asked in a slight awkward tone. Derick didn't immediately answer the question, not that he didn't have an answer. It's just. How do you word it in a way that when you say it, you don't get follow up questions? Like, why are you asking about the murder that happen not too long ago? Ugh, life is such a pain in the rear sometimes. Anyhow, Derick eventually answered, "I was hoping to have a little hangout session when Avery wakes up, nothing special or out of the norm." Wait, why did he add that last part? He ask himself instantly after saying that, now he's high chances have been lowered a little but that is okay because he still have pretty go chances. Mr.Noman nodded a little, understanding. He didn't say anything more, nor did he look directly at Derick.

Now because he didn't say anything more, a silence fell in the room. A very awkward silence, maybe to much for Derick even though he usually doesn't mind the silence. But this one was different, too different for he to know why. After a few beats of no noise whatsoever, Derick was about to speak but it's look like Avery woke up and is walking to this room right now.
