Y/n is an exceptional basketball player, recognized as one of the best in the country. She has just been recruited to play for UCONN, a prestigious program in women's basketball. However, her arrival is met with tension as she has a long-standing ri...
I sat on my bed, scrolling through my phone when it buzzed with an incoming phone call. Of course was Paige.
"Hey Y/n, what are you up to tonight?"
"Not much, just chilling. Why?"
"I was thinking we could go to this new club that just opened downtown. It looks amazing!"
I hesitated, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go out, especially since Paige and I weren't dating. The idea of spending the night in a loud, crowded club felt a bit daunting.
"I don't know, Paige. Clubs aren't really my thing."
"Oh come on, it'll be fun! We can dance, have a few drinks, and just let loose. You need a break from all the stress."
"It's not that. It's just... we're not dating, and I don't want things to get awkward."
There was a pause before Paige replied.
"I get that. But who says we need to be dating to have a good time together? We're friends, right?"
"Yeah, but what if people get the wrong idea?"
"I mean, technically it's not the wrong idea. Who cares what people think? It's about us having fun. Plus, I'll be with you the whole time. If you feel uncomfortable, we can leave anytime."
I sighed, still unsure. I liked Paige, but this felt like a big step. Especially when I feel like I'm starting to like like Paige.
"I don't know, Paige. What if things get weird between us?"
"Y/n, trust me. I just want to spend time with you. No pressure, no expectations. Just two friends having a good time. Please?"
I could hear the sincerity in Paige's words. She did want to spend time with me, and maybe this could be a chance to see where things could go.
"Alright, fine. But if I feel uncomfortable, we're leaving."
"Deal! I'll pick you up at 9. Wear something nice!"
As the clock ticked closer to 8, I found herself getting more and more nervous. I rummaged through my closet, finally settling on a dark red mini dress that was both comfortable and stylish. I applied a bit of makeup, just enough to feel confident.

At exactly 9, my doorbell rang. I took a deep breath and opened the door to find Paige standing there, looking stunning in an all black fit
