It's been a week since James ordered the objects of jewelry to be made, he had gotten a letter the day before to stop by today and collect them.

So James, naturally, snuck out of Hogwarts and to Hogsmeade Via secret pathway. Bringing the marauders map and invisibility cloak as to not get caught.

"Ah, mister Potter you're here, these are the items you have ordered us to forge, up and ready." Said the woman at the counter, Davina.

"Thank you." JAMES SAID, then he left the place and snuck back into Hogwarts.

As James lay the jewels on his night stand he thought, ''maybe Snape will notice me now in a different light?'

——————————next-day———————————

James was trying to find Severus, pulling out the marauders map, and locating his name in the at the edges of the forbidden forest, disappearing into it.

"Hm? Well then, more privacy for me then." James muttered quietly as he made his was to where Severus was.

He was at the edge of the Hogwarts grounds and infront of the forbidden forest. Checking that no one saw him first, he went in.

"Should I turn into a stag for this? No no, I shouldn't, how would I carry my stuff and the gifts then?"James said to himself, going deeper into the woods, looking for Severus.

He wanted to call out his name but knew that if he did Severus would just hide from him instead of coming to him.

He ventured deeper into the forest, and just as he was about to give up, he felt a cold breath on his neck. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw a familiar porcelain skinned, dark shoulder length hair.

"Looking for me? Potter." Severus sneered, James shivered at the empathizing of his name.

"I- I just-" James stuttered, not being able to think straightly with Severus's lips just one inch from a kiss on his neck.

James took a breath, trying to regain his thoughts and form the words necessary.

"I wanted to give you a gift..." James said quietly, Severus's curiosity piqued, as he got more dangerously close.

"What for?" He said, quietly observing James' squirms and hitching of breath.

James gulped. He hadn't though about an excuse to give him the gift, considering at the moment they were supposedly enemies.

So James came up with an excuse on the spot.

"I- I want to offer a truce." James said making Severus raise an eyebrow.

(I'm sorry but all this stuttering making me want to cringe then Kms, should not be saying that in a fanfic? Will I get banned or cancelled? Idk)

"Oh really now?" Narrowing his eyes, then glancing at the gift box he has in his bag. "Show me how big it is then."

James breath hitched, his mind thinking, of other things. And then thinking, the gift isn't that big.

He pulled out the small gift box, containing the replica jewel he had transfigured for Severus previously in their charms class.

Severus raised an eyebrow, taking the gift box in his hands, before opening it to reveal the necklace, he immediately recognized it.

"The necklace you transfigured for me in charms class..." Severus said with a blank face, those the glistening in his eyes was very evident.

Severus sighed, then looked at James, getting closer to him, looking up at him.

"I can't forgive you but I will tolerate you" he said as he put on the necklace.

James breath hitched. Then he slowly nodded.

Severus smiled, at him.

"Well, see you the next time we have classes together James." Severus turned to leave, using the Potter boy's first name as if it was no biggie.

"Bye... Severus..." James said, thinking that the boy named Severus Snape did not hear him, but he did.

Severus turned to him one last time.

"By the way, did you also make a replica of the butterfly pin I once transfigured for you?" Severus asked, James nodded and pulled out the gold-red butterfly pin from his pocket.

"Come over here, James." Severus gestured for him to come to him, and James complied.

Severus yanked James' hair playfully so he could see the back, then tied two parts from each side of James's hair in the middle, then put the butterfly pin there so it would hit it together.

"There... see you James." And with that, he left.
