With series such as My Hero Academia, Black Clover, and Jujutsu Kaisen on the verge of ending soon I thought I'd take this time to find some nee anime/manga to watch/read and one series I came across is Spy x Family.

Spy x Family is a series that I've heard about for a long time but I never really got into it because I didn't think it was that interesting but after awhile I decided to give it a shot and shockingly it's actually pretty good I honestly enjoyed it a lot. I haven't read the manga yet but I will get to it eventually but for right now this is just a review on what I have so far which is why for today's discussion I'm going to be doing a review on Spy x Family give it my rating in the end so without further ado let's get started.

The plot

Let's start things off with the plot which is a pretty interesting concept. The story is about a secret spy named Twilight a master of disguise from the Westalis was given a mission by WISE called Operation Strix where he's supposed to target a man named Donovan Desmond a chairman from an enemy country called Ostania with war plans for war against the Westalis so Twilight is assigned this mission to prevent a threat to the truce between East and West, he needs to get close to him and probe any seditious activities. Sounds simple on paper, tough but simple. However there's a problem in order to even attempt to get to Donovan, Twilight would have to marry a woman and bear her a child, then he must enroll said child to an elite private school and infiltrate the gatherings only then will he get close to Donovan and stop his plans for war. Basically Twilight has to find a woman, marry her, then have sex with her, get her pregnant then after child is born he has to enroll her into an advanced school, something that even infuriated Twilight to no end. Luckily since he doesn't have time to find a woman just so he can marry and impregnate, Twilight taking on the alias called Loid Forger decides to adopt a child and that's when he meets Anya a telepathic girl who can read minds. After that he eventually finds a woman named Yor who unbeknownst to Loid is a secret assassin going by the name Thorn Princess. Together the 3 of them form the secret fake family known as the Forger family to further their own goals while keeping their secret identities a secret from each other. So the very concept of a spy having to make a family just to infiltrate enemy ranks sounds like a really REALLY cool idea I honestly do like it a lot and I love how it's unique in almost every way in terms of concept. Most anime and manga have seen has pretty much mostly the same concept like I've seen several series mostly copy and paste Naruto's dream of becoming Hokage and having a rival and so on and so forth. The plot may not have some type of Hero's Journey type story like let's say My Hero Academia, Black Clover, Fullmetal Alchemist, or Demon Slayer but it has a really unique plot that's interesting worth following. Just because stories don't have this huge big bad the hero has to fight doesn't necessarily make it a bad plot, I mean that's what made Violet Evergarden a really great story. Overall I think Spy x Family deserves a reward in terms of plot I think it has a really unique concept and an interesting one at that.

The characters

Next up we do have the characters. I honestly loved the characters they are enjoyable, interesting, and some not so much.
