I saw Sonic movie 3 on December 20th and I just have to say it was really awesome. So awesome that I decided to see it again with my younger sister. It was a great time to be a Sonic fan so for today's chapter I'm going to be doing a review but we start I just have to say this chapter will contain MAJOR SPOILERS so please proceed with caution you have been warned. With that said let's get started.

Let's start things off with the story. One thing I liked about the story is that pretty much everyone is involved. Unlike the last movie where we had a marriage subplot here all the characters both human and Sonic characters are all involved. And I really loved the Sonic Adventure 2 references when Sonic says "Talk about no budget flights. No food or movies? We're out of here." A line taken directly from the cutscene in the heroes cutscene. They even have Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles jumping out of the helicopter just like Sonic did in the games. And don't get me started on the final battle when Sonic and Shadow fought in their super forms and then when they teamed up and did the pose from Adventure 2 and Generations with Live and Learn in the background. Man that was awesome. There was some great moments throughout the story which we will get into in a second but overall I loved this story.
Next up let's move onto the characters starting with Sonic. It seems like almost every movie Sonic has been through some form of a character arc in one way or another throughout these movies. In the first movie he was trying to find his place, second he learns when his time was right, and now Sonic learns a lesson about revenge after Tom nearly almost died which makes the moment when Sonic and Shadow talked all the more meaningful.
Next up is Shadow. As a huge Shadow fan despite his backstory being different they did a very good job with him. Keanu Reeves did a great job as Shadow. Never thought in my wildest dreams would Shadow be voiced by John Wick. Anyways they did change some stuff about Shadow's backstory such instead of him being created by Gerald Robotnik they instead have him come to earth via comet which could hint at the Black Arms but nevertheless Shadow still maintains his bonds with Gerald and especially Maria and I love his revenge quest and how he sacrificed himself in the end.
As for the other characters they do a really great job with their character developments like how Eggman realized that Agent Stone is his one and true friend and I like the concept of Gerald being alive rather than being executed. As for the post credits scene it's really awesome showing off Amy and Metal Sonic. It was really cool I won't lie and I can't wait for Sonic movie 4. Overall if I had to grade this movie this how I would rate it.
