"Rise and shine ladies!" Adrian exclaimed in my ear. I screamed and flinched awake. I was greeted with his bright and lively smile.

"What do you want...?" I grumbled angrily, glaring at him. He laughed at my expression.

"We're here!" he exclaimed. My face fell slowly.

"But neither of us told you our addresses..." I replied slowly.

He didn't reply back and he went to the driver's seat to shake Elise awake. She muttered and complained but got up anyway. Vincent had already woken up and he was standing outside the car, his hands in his pockets and his gaze at the sky. The image of him asleep on me crossed my mind.

After staring at him for way too long, I shook my head from its morning dizziness and got out of the car. Without even looking anywhere around me, I yawned and stretched before sitting on the curb to rub my eyes. Vincent only spared a glance down at me before looking back up. It took me a moment to realize that even now he wasn't smoking a cigarette.

In fact he didn't smoke a single one on the drive back.

He was still chewing his mint gum, the chewing being the only sound in the quiet morning. The silence was interrupted by Adrian's and Elise's commotion.

"This isn't our neighborhood!" Elise exclaimed, coming out from behind the car. Adrian trailed behind her.

His smile seemed colder now and his eyes held a wicked glint.

"Well, we're not in your neighborhood that's why," he explained in a taunting voice. Elise froze in her tracks and flipped around. I stood up immediately from the curb.

"Then where the hell are we?" Elise asked, leveling her voice. The smell of smoke made its way into my head. I turned around and saw a cigarette in between Vince's teeth. He smoked it slowly, watching us with neutral eyes.

"Welcome to our humble home," he replied nonchalantly as he turned around and spread his arms out to the view.

In front of us stood a huge building; old and covered completely in graffiti. Every inch was filled with color and words of rage and sadness. All the other buildings seemed to pale in comparison. Elise and I stood chilled in our spots.

"Why'd you-bring us here?" I asked, my voice breaking midway. Vincent took another long drag of his cigarette.

"Because we're not done with you yet," he replied, finally looking at me.

"You fucking assholes," I muttered spitefully, "We're not going anywhere with you." Vincent looked over my head at Adrian and nodded to him. His gaze finally turned back to me.

"Oh yeah?" his tone challenged me. Before I could let alone move, his gun was out of his pocket and pointed at me. I froze in place.

"Wha-"

"Move and I'll blow your face off," he interrupted me, his eyes narrowing.

There was no pity in those eyes...no care... that's the face of someone who'd kill anyone.

I stood there, paralyzed in fear. It was as if the guy from a few hours ago had disappeared, and in his place, came a monster. My face heated up as my blood pressure rose. My head had begun aching in pain.

After all that... and he's still terrible?

"Let Jordan go!" Elise screamed, her voice almost slipping. Vincent shook his head silently without breaking eye contact with me. He took one last smoke from his cigarette in his free hand and then he stubbed it with his heel. He cleared his throat and pointed to the building with his gun.
