Author's POV

It has been a month since Avni left her home and now she has adjusted very well in her surroundings. And things are not that bad . Firstly She thought that she might not have a single friend as she is not that talkative and outgoing though she is quite crazy around her pool of people but she has got some amazing people around her but yeah not in the same department sadly.

"Wake up you fool", Avni shouted at her roomate who slept on her study table while copying Avni's assignment and guess what ??
...spilled the coffee on the whole assignment.

"Heyy what???....you scared me".

"Seriously....I scared you????......wtf you have done with my assignment you sleepyhead", Avni yelled at her roomate Disha.

Disha looked at the mess she has created.
"I am sorry Avni ..... don't worry I'll write your assignment again.",said Disha with a sorry look.

Avni left towards the bathroom without saying a word. Her days at college then at hostel are fine. She don't miss her home much as she was already living alone . But Avni really miss the place and the people around. Eisha has also left for Kota which made Avni sad as she thought that her and Eisha will be in the same city . But it's just the matter of time and everyone deserve their fair chance to chase their dreams.

Her brother keep a check on her twice a week but her father just called her once in the entire month and that call lasted for a minute. But Sumitra call Avni every single day and she waits for her call eagerly. Vedant is now in the IMA Dehradun. Avni had no contact with him after the last conversation where she got herself embarrassed in front of him because of her over enthusiastic bestfriend who thinks that Vedant isn't capable enough of having a girlfriend to take Avni to the ball.The envelope Vedant gave Avni had a letter inside in which he wrote that how it's not that difficult to live alone she can always count on him .

Avni's Pov

Life is a mess and when you choose to pursue medical it gets all messy. Here I am surrounded by the pool of smart ...no smartest people and I feel so dumb that I am unable to get a titration reading correct and I am the only one left in the lab .... everyone literally everyone is done with their readings and left.

"Hey do you need help???", came a deep manly voice from behind .

"Umm ....yess plzz", I said giving him way because I just need to get out of here.

"It's done " , He said moving away from the apparatus.

"Thank youuu so much .....you must have felt that it's so stupid of me to not even able to get a titration reading correct ", said Avni in sullen tone .

"Hey ..it's completely okay....after all you are a freshie", said the guy.

"Wait... you are not in my year" , I said all confused and surprised at the same time.

" You don't even know your batchmates" , he said.

"No...I mean it's just a month and we have four different sections for a one department" , I said in my defence.

"Fair enough....well ..I am Kabir from third year ortho", said Kabir forwarding his hand towards me.

"Avni mathur ", I said while shaking hands with him .

A noice comes through the corridor... someone's shouting his name from the outside.

"Hey I have to go that's my friends.....it was nice meeting you Avni ", he said with a bright smile and ran towards the door.

I started packing my things to leave .

"And you are not stupid miss freshie", Kabir shouted while leaning on the door frame and finally left.

That literally scared the shitt out of me . But he is kind of sweet. I picked up my things and left for the hostel.
