After 6 months
Author's POV
It's the beginning of December and Avni is all set to leave for home as it's winter break . Everyone except Avni is a little too much excited about this break. She is happy here and may be don't want to go back. Here she has people around her but back home both her father and brother are not going to be home . She has to be all alone there . Eisha is coming on the new year's eve which means the only companion she has for the month is Sumitra Aunty. She is of course not sad about this. But she has always desired to be around a big happy circle .....her people.
Avni decided to ditch the cab and hop on a metro . She just reached the metro station and gets a call from Sumitra.
"Have you reached the metro station??", asked Sumitra.
"Yess...just got off the metro", said Avni .
" Mana bhi kiya tha na safe nhi hai .....metro station se ghar kafi dur hai or raat ho gayi hai", said Sumitra in a stern tone.
" Areyyy kuch nhi hoga aunty main aa jaungi " , said Avni.
"Kya matlab aa jaungi ....yeh nalayak pahuncha nhi abhi tak", said Sumitra.
"Kyaa konn!!", as soon as she said this she saw a car in front of her and here he is !!!
"Vedant!!", said Avni .
"Hello hello .....A....Avni".
"Hn..haaa aunty Ved aa gya", with that Avni hung up the phone.
Avni put her phone back in her sling bag. Vedant comes out of the car smiling and takes her luggage put it in the car .
"So how's college??", asked Vedant .
"Good actually really good....I ...I didn't expected it to be that amazing", said Avni with a big smile.
" Sounds all good then", said Vedant.
Then there was a long silence between the two until Avni decides to break it.
"So....how's all going with you.....I mean ....how's Dehradun", asked Avni.
"Dehradun is beautiful....... everything is quite thrilling and a.. amazing ", said Vedant ,his eyes on road.
" Aai ne pata nhi kya kya taiyari ki hai tum aa rhi ho isliye .......mere pasand ki ek dish nhi bnayi sab tumhare liye", said Vedant.
"Sumitra Aunty bahut achii hai ", said Avni.
"Hn isi baat ka toh tum fayda uthati ho", said Vedant.
"Shut up Vedant".

Avni straight went to her house ....she just couldn't resist herself. She asked Vedant to wait outside . She just went inside take a look at her house as if she's is taking it all in with her. Then both of them went to Vedant's place where Sumitra was waiting . As soon as Sumitra saw Avni she engulfed her in a big hug.
They had the dinner. Then Avni went in Sumitra's room to tell lots of stories from her college. Though both of them talk almost daily on phone but still Sumitra was really excited to hear it all from Avni herself. Meanwhile Vedant left after dinner for his friend's place.
It was mid night and Avni decided to leave for her house .....Sumitra fall asleep in her room while they were chatting , she didn't want to disturb her sleep. So she quietly closed her door and went outside her bedroom. As soon as she approached the main gate it swung open. Avni was about to scream but Vedant put his hand over her mouth.
"Hey...it's me...it's me", said Vedant slowly removing his hand.
" Tum pagal toh nhi ho .....dara diyaa", said Avni.
"Tum kaha Jaa rhi ho", asked Vedant.
"Apne ghar" , said Avni.
"Iss wakt ?? bahut late ho gya .....or Aai kaha hai", said Vedant.
"Aunty apne room main hai.... wo so gayi thi toh maine unhe disturb Krna theek nhi samjha ", said Avni.
"Wow bahut samjhdar ho tum ....toh abhi bina btaye akeli jaa rhi thi" , said Vedant in a sarcastic tone.
" Shutt up...or mera ghar kon sa dur hai it's just around the corner ", said Avni.
"Still Avni it's too late ......or tum waha akeli hogi....it's better tum aaj yhi ruk jao....Aai bhi I am sure yhi kehti", said Vedant in a sincere tone.
Avni was thinking whether she should stay or not.
"Itna mat socho Aai ke room main chali jao ya phirr upar guest room bhi Khali hai ...as per your wish", said Vedant.
"Fine", said Avni.
Avni went in Sumitra's room with her luggage. She changed into her comfy PJs and went to sleep next to Sumitra.
