"IF YOU TWO LIKE EACH other, why not hook up?"

"Don't hurt yourself trying, Kuina." I shook my head and sat on the lounger opposite Kuina. "They will just keep denying it."

Usagi and Arisu shared an awkward look, then quickly looked away from each other.

"What's it to you?" Arisu spoke, glancing at Kuina.

She shrugged. "You should live while you're alive."

After getting back from the game, we all split up— I went to the bar to drink, Kuina went off somewhere else, and Arisu looked for Usagi. Yet, we find ourselves together again now.

"She's right. If you don't, there's no going back." I added. If you couldn't see the tension between the two, you'd be blind.

Since me and Usagi met Arisu, the two have been inseparable. Literally. They can't be without the other for an hour without getting worried.

It's actually kinda cute. Who knew you could find love in this world?

"My mother is stuck in the hospital. She can't even go to the toilet by herself. And I wound up here." Kuina spoke. "That's why I need to survive and go home. And that's the reason I quit smoking." She smiled and pulled the paper cig out her mouth.

"Good for you, Kuina." I smiled at her, and she reciprocated it.

"Back in the day, I couldn't stop smoking. But to survive the game, you need to stay healthy. I absolutely need to survive and go back to my other world."

The four of us looked at each other, all taking in Kuina's words, when all of a sudden a loud voice was heard over the music.

"Hey! Stop that crap music." I recognised the voice to be Niragi's, and we all looked in the direction of the voice.

There, Niragi stood beside Aguni and the rest of the militants. The music stopped immediately, and everyone froze, staring at the group in fear.

The militants strode past the pool, all smiling cockily, apart from Aguni and Last Boss, who kept good poker faces.

"They're the militant corps at the Beach. If you want to live in peace here, then do not mess with them." Kuina whispered to Arisu.

We were confused when their eyes landed on the four of us sat down. This can't be good.

Kuina began explaining Aguni's backstory, and I was shocked ti how much she knew. Did everyone know my brother's old life, and if they do, did they know mine?

"General Aguni is an ex-Special forces officer. He controls all of the weapons at the Beach." She explained. "The person who commands the Beach right now is the number one Hatter and his lackeys. As well as the militants led by Aguni. Right now, law and order  at the Beach is very fragile. Both of these groups could clash at any time."

I watched carefully as they sauntered over to us, and cursed under my breath.

They stopped right in front of us, and a loud silence filled the area. Aguni was the one to break it.

"Where's your friend?" My brother stared down Arisu, who looked at him with sadness in his eyes. His silence was the answer for Aguni. "Oh, yeah? He's dead? Too bad. Yet someone like you still lives."

"You know each other?" Kuina asked. Aguni then moved his gaze to Usagi, who stared back.

"Hey, bring the woman." He nodded to Niragi who then walked towards Usagi.
