-chapter fourteen-

LAYLA PLACED A BOX DOWN ON TBE GROUND.

"Is here okay?" She asked Genny who nodded.

"Yeah it's perfect." Layla gasped as Tim came up from behind her, cringing as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Tim! You're all sweaty." She exclaimed softly. He shook his head at her placing a kiss to the back of her head as she pulled away.

The two pausing in their moment as Genny cheered to herself.

"Sorry I just scored me and Tyler tickets for a game tonight." She paused. "Do you think it's wrong that I'm bribing him so he can enjoy being here better?"

Layla and Tim looked towards each other before shook their heads. "You could make it like a normal thing, you guys going out to games together. He'll enjoy moments like that with you." Layla suggested Tim nodding at her.

"How do you always have the best ideas?" Genny asked her groaning. "Better watch out Tim, might take your girl off your hands."

Tim gave her a tiny glare before shaking his head.

"Oh no, She's not going anywhere." Layla sighed as her phone began ringing on her pocket though it didn't take her long to figure out who it was.

"Give me a sec." She let out pulling her phone.

"Yes mom?"

"This dog needs to leave! He's been barking all day. Get him out of here."

Layla rolled her eyes. "Mom, dogs bark." Especially when there's unwanted people in the house. "Kojo isn't going anywhere. Me and Tim will be back soon."

At the mention of the dog's name Tim gave Layla a confused look.

"Layla. Just listen to me, just once okay? You know I only have your best interests at heart."

"Mom, end of discussion. Kojo isn't leaving, if you want him out of your life then you leave. I'm not having this conversation." Layla pulled the phone from her ear hanging up before she sighed.

"She's insufferable." Layla spoke groaning.

"Just give me the word and she'll be gone." Layla smiled brightly at him.
