"I WILL SAY, ITS NICE NOT HAVING TO DRIVE TO WORK EVERY MORNING." Layla commented as she put her seatbelt on before placing Tim's hand in her lap.
"Well nothings really changed for me, because I'm still driving to work. Everyday, now with an added stop." Tim said shaking his head as he started the truck up backing out of their driveway.
"Yes because it's work and the coffee shop. I told you leaving home early to go to work has benefits. You actually have time to get coffee in the morning."
Tim scoffed lightly. "What about the free coffee at the station?" He asked her.
"You mean the coffee from the machine you don't know how to use?" Layla shook her head at him. "And it's not free you're supposed to put a dollar in the jar after you make a cup."
"Nobody ever does that." He spoke with a light scoff. "Also I do know how to use the new machine."
"Sure you do, old man."

"Layla, you'll be with Lucy today. Me and Celina are reopening the investigation of her sister after the file we read." John spoke as he looked at Layla.
Layla nodded. "Okay, good luck. I really hope you guys catch the guy."
"I'm hoping we do as well." He gave her a smile before turning around as he met with Celina.
"Layla." Lucy called out as she waved Layla over to her and Tim.
"I was about to go get the equipment." Layla spoke pointing behind her.
"There's no need, you and Tim will be shadowing a make a wish kid today." Layla gave her a confused expression.
"We will?" Layla asked hesitantly.
"After a Tim test a couple of months ago I signed Tim up. And what better someone to accompany him than his girlfriend? I will be on patrol with Aaron and you two will be here." Lucy began backing away from the two. "I hope you guys have fun! Tell me all about it!"
She walked away leaving a shocked Layla behind as Tim shook his head.
