The taxi gracefully glided to a stop at the electromagnetic taxi stand, its green-tinted windows retracting seamlessly into the metallic walls, akin to traditional Japanese doors.

Ren's gaze fell upon the imposing structure of the Eclipse Enforcer Academy, its name paying homage to the legendary Eclipse Enforcer Mecha piloted by the esteemed Female Warrior Verix Helos.

Ren's golden eyes observed the transparent sheet-like gate with a sense of intrigue. An embedded scanner emitted a gentle blue light, meticulously verifying the identity of each individual to uphold the institute's security protocols. Ren effortlessly passed through the entrance, stepping into the 'portal', and into a 'new world'.

Little God squinted its oceanic eyes in comfort as it rested upon Ren's shoulder and told Ren about the history of such a building.

Legend had it that when the blue eclipse formed many years ago, it forced the launch gates to halt, preventing the army from making a bigger space jump. A comet approached Nexus city without anyone to stop or change its direction. Verix Helos, stationed on a nearby planet, bravely embarked on a solitary mission. Utilizing every ounce of her strength, she valiantly destroyed the cataclysmic threat, but at the cost of her powers, rendering her a mere civilian afterward.

In honor of her extraordinary sacrifice, this prestigious high school was established 146 years ago.

Eclipse Enforcer Academy was plastered on the huge metallic structure with large windows that allowed natural light to flood into the classrooms and corridors.

The exterior was adorned with holographic displays showcasing student achievements and upcoming events. The more Ren stepped forward, the more his appreciation grew.

This building exceeded his expectations.
Ren's legs took him towards the huge rough concrete pillar, so similar to the one on Earth.

The moment his fingers touched it, the area turned black and tiny stars shone wherever his fingers glided. The more stars appeared; the more fascinated Ren's eyes became.

'Little God! Look at the texture! Oh, my goodness! It feels so smooth, nothing like its rough appearance.'

The said little God chose to ignore Ren's sudden obsession with textures. If the system didn't know any better, it might have thought that Ren was touching a lover rather than a pillar.

'You better move forward for the office is on the third floor to your left. The students will start coming in huge numbers in 6 minutes and 51 seconds.'

Ren, very reluctantly, moved forward. He passed a few classrooms showing the topper of the said class on the wall. The information regarding every room kept entering his mind at a steady pace.

The outside of the main building only showed the top of the entire grade; however, classes displayed the top three students with outstanding achievements, including but not limited to their marks, lab performance, and Virtual-Reality battle stimulation scores.

Ren passed the Sustainable Energy lab and finally reached the third floor.

The closer he went to the door of the administration office, the more his heart throbbed. He subconsciously touched his chest and patted it lightly to ease the pain.

'What's going on?'

'The previous 'you' wanted to graduate from this academy because of your biological mother. 'You' loved your mother very much and wanted to graduate from the same high school as her.'

So, that's how it is. No wonder his heart felt heavy.

The mother was so busy with her life that she didn't even remember she had a son, and the child bore such harsh bullying because he wanted to make her proud. It only made Ren's decision to leave the school firm.
