[Chapter 6]

Madam Hooch gave a loud blast on her silver whistle.

Fifteen brooms rose up, high, high into the air. They were off.

"And the Quaffle is immediately taken by Ginny Weasley of Gryffindor" said the person on the mic.

I released a colourful curse under my breath.

"Ginny passes the Quaffle to Alicia Spinnet- back to Johnson and- no, Slytherin captain Draco Malfoy, takes the Quaffle and off he goes, he's going to score, speeding off towards the goal post-keeper Ron dives-misses- SLYTHERIN SCORES!"

The Slytherin crowd cheered and I high-fived Draco on our way back to the positions.

Two Gryffindor scores later- they were leading. I got tensed. We cannot lose.

I looked for the Snitch, my eyesight was very keen and when I caught a hint of golden flash from Theo's head, I dived to his side, holding tight on my broom with one hand and the other stretched out.

Potter probably noticed it too, if he hadn't then he would've noticed my body language and so there he was coming in the same direction.

The Snitch was only a few inches away from me, I leaned forward, but before I could catch it, he came in front of me.

I thought this was it but he missed it, the golden flash was still free, running away, lower this time.

Potter and I dived down at the same time.

I could hear the loud cheerleading from both Gryffindor and Slytherin cheerleaders.

The chasers had stopped at their places to see what might happen next.

I cannot afford to lose.

My eyes met his from the corner, the hate we had for eachother was clear in them. Anger rushed in my blood, I jerked my head ahead and that's it.

The snitch was in my hand.

"150 POINTS TO SLYTHERIN! ITS A WIN!"

The Slytherin crowd cheered loudly, some even fell down. While the Gryffindors were booing.

We all got off our brooms and I ran towards my team "We won! We won!" I shouted with a big smile on my face, throwing my hands around them. Draco and Theo picked me up on their shoulders and other members clapped "You did it Blair! Let's go!"

This was probably the happiest moment of my life, my eyes landed on Potter, who looked devastated.

"Put me down!!" I laughed and after a while they did, then I walked towards him.

"Aw, why so sad, Potter?" I crossed my arms "Don't worry, you'll win next time, if you have have luck"

He didn't bother looking at me, so I just looked him up to down and decided to walked away but he grabbed my wrist "why are you so irritating, Malfoy?"

I was caught quite off-guard but I gained my composure and pulled my hand back from him "Your existence bothers me" I said and showed him the Snitch in my hands "Do you know how satisfied I feel? Seeing you lose just like that?"

He looked at me with those fierce green eyes "I fucking hate you"

"Good to know because I hate you too"

Then I turned around and walked away.

Making enemies was not me. But something about Potter just strikes it in me. He annoys me.

On my way back to our dorm room, I realised that the star necklace was not around my neck.

I froze.

I knew I shouldn't have worn it during the game, how could I lose it!

I quickly turned around to go and bring it from the pitch.

I ran faster and faster untill I reached there, my eyes scanned the pitch, it's not that easy. I tried casting spells and searched the hardest to find it but couldn't.

Then I walked into our tent and looked there too, when I was about to exit the trial room, my eyes landed on a shiny silver chain with a star pendant.

I audibly released a sigh of relief and picked it up.

I got on my knees and a tear left my eye as I trapped it in my fist tightly. How could have I misplaced such an important thing?

I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I had lost it.

I sighed again and wore it around my neck, touching the pendant one last time then exiting the tent.

I swear, if someone saw Blair Malfoy, getting wasted like that over a mere necklace, they would believe they're dreaming.
