West of where the recent battle occurred, was a long, barren and icy pathway. It lead to the village of the Krilathis, one of the only settlements of intelligent life on the planet. Our destination.
The skies were filled with clouds, which snowed non-stop. The ground was covered in heaps of ice and snow, making it nearly impossible to keep your footing. And the chilly winds made seeing that much more of a challenge.
“So, where did you come from, Zephyr?” Sylkra managed to ask.
“Well, I’m a traveller sort of.”
“Is that why you’re so strong? Cause you’ve been moving across so many worlds.”
She remarked while pushing through the wind.
“Yeah pretty mu-”
Suddenly a ball of snow hit him right in the face. Sylkra held her tongue, a hand darting to cover her mouth as a muffled chuckle slipped out. She cleared her throat, trying and failing to look serious.
“Sorry… just-it happens to the best of us.”
Sigh
“Is this season important to you?” He asks.
“Not really, it’s a pain cause of all the extra work.”
“Well then, fxck this weather.”
He raised his arms, and in each hand manifested energy orbs. One divine, and another demonic.
“Hmm, hopefully this works.”
“W-What?” Sylkra said as she looked on in awe.
[Eyes of Truth Activated]
As his golden eyes illuminated the surroundings, he clapped his hands; and not a moment later the two orbs smashed into each other.
Yet, instead of a violent clash, the two forces intertwined seamlessly; neutralizing one another and dissolving into pure untainted energy.
Sylkra looked up, as the process unveiled a display of craftsmanship never before seen by her people.
“Wow”
And in but a moment, both parties were extinguished, leaving behind a transparent, colorless, fluid like mesh; a field of distortion.
“Perfect.”
He could see the universe in it’s fullness, and without restriction controlled the flow of Qi across the surface of the planet. Slowly warming it and ending these harsh conditions.
“You really did it.” She couldn’t believe her senses.
“Now then, where’s this village of yours. I’m sure we could get there in a few seconds if I knew the direction.”
[I hope you’re not forgetting she’s mortal]
“I meant half an hour.”
“Uh… sure.” She says as she points the direction.
“It shouldn’t be more than a few thousand km away.”
‘At this point I should just put her in a protective layer and get there instantly’
“You know what, just hold on tight.” He picks her up with both arms and wraps a telekinetic field around her.
And before you could read this sentence he was already there.
‘What?’
“So this is your home.” He says while putting her down.
As he laid eyes on it for the first time, he felt the embrace of cooling winds, pouring in from the mist covered mountains nearby. It was a quiet settlement, where the scent of damp earth and wildflowers lingered in the air. Built upon uneven terrain, its homes were crafted from timber and stone, and thatched roofs, all weathered by time. Narrow dirt paths wind between the dwellings, carved by the passage of countless footsteps, while lanterns, dimly glowing with an eerie bluish hue, flicker under the quickly darkening sky.
