Flee The Facility

Chapter 15: Cloudy

Melody groaned, realising what she set herself up for. Why am I with a person who cannot think for themselves most of the time? She thought. Crystal was fussing over Melody about the little scratch on her arm, which wasn't bleeding. Melody just slapped her hand away like it was an annoying fly. Crystal winced, and Melody sighed. What use was Crystal if she was going to just keep up like this? Melody knew the answer but wasn't sure it would describe Crystal entirely.

'Come on, let's go, Cloudy is waiting for us," Melody whispered. Crystal nodded, determined to save her sisters. She would break without both of them. It was like a sisterly bond, how they always loved each other, even when they got into fights. Crystal tried her best from breaking down into tears when she thought about the possibility of Cloudy being dead when they found her. Please Cloudy, Crystal thought. Please. Hang in there. We are trying our best to find you.

Crystal followed Melody through darkness, trying to figure out how Melody could see. A voice broke her thoughts. "Come on, this is the tubes area. Cloudy is over there," Melody pointed at the furthest one, near the entrance/exit of the room.Melody jumped down swiftly, and used The Beast's hammer to shatter the glass open. Dragging an unconscious Cloudy, Crystal opened the vent for her, and they shut the door.

And waited.

A few minutes later, they heard the stomp of The Beast's footsteps echoing through the hallway. A roar followed a split second later, making Crystal and Melody jump, waking Cloudy. "Ughhh... what happened?" Cloudy asked. Crystal had tears in her eyes.

"You're awake!" she quietly whispered and hugged Cloudy, nearly suffocating her. Melody rolled her eyes.

"She was sick from worry, you know, I didn't know she loved you this much," Melody had to restrain from laughing.

"Well you don't know how much you love someone who is your family member until they're gone! You're so heartless Melody!" Cloudy stayed silent and Melody rolled her eyes while smirking.

"Oh, yeah sure. I saved both of you. Oh wow, 'I'm so heartless! Oh my, I  am so heartless for saving you!' As if." Melody laughed. Cloudy just smiled, and Crystal sighed. "Okay, I am sorry, let's go back to escaping. Deal?"

Crystal and Cloudy nodded.

What they didn't know was, next time when they went out, there was someone waiting for them...
