April 1st, 1943, present time.

The Lifestealers had stayed at the small town for a few days, letting the tank crew heal up from all their wounds. Parrot decided that they should make their way back to the bridge to find their tank and get it working again.

The tank crew, plus Minute, Pierce and Flame were stood in the kitchen of a nearby house, planning on how to get the tank working again.
"I like the plan, but Planet can't fix the engine if he can't see." Spoke said, stood around the table with a map spread across it.
"Mapicc, you know a bit about the engine, what if Planet walked you through it?" Parrot proposed.
"I'd be happy to do it, but how the hell am I gonna explain what a half-fucked, blown up engine looks like to him?" Mapicc responded.
"Pieces everywhere, hole in engine, broken," Spoke blabbered on, receiving a whack on the back on the head by Pierce.

"How is Planet going anyway?" Flame asked.
"Do I look like a medic to you?" Spoke asked back.
Minute sighed, "He's doing better, still getting used to the whole, well, no seeing stuff. But, he's in no condition to attack, we tried to offer him a free ticket home, but he said no."
"Seems like him." Spoke muttered.

The plan was set, the Lifestealers were to move out back to the bridge, find the tank and fix it, and then retreat back to their camp.

Now that they had a full Platoon, it was hard to get to their goal. They had to travel in groups of four to travel through towns, and when they were out in the open, they halved their group, sticking to the ditches on the sides of the roads.

Pierce walked in the middle of the road, not a care in the world.
Mane watched him as he walked down in the ditch, "Is he insane?" He asked, looking back to Flame, who shrugged.
"Yeah, he's nuts."
"I can hear you." Pierce called out, not even having to look at the boys. "Flame, whack him for me." He added.
Flame raised his arm off his rifle, smacking Mane in the back of his head. "Hey!" He cried, whacking Flame back.

Pierce halted, he crouched down, raising his arm, his hand in a fist, the Platoon all crouched down. Pierce scanned the bushes in front of him, one of them caught his eye, it was moving a bit too much.
"Derap, potato masher." He whispered down to Derapchu. He took his pack off, looking through it for the stick-like grenade, he pulled it out and tossed it to Pierce.

Pierce unscrewed the bottom of it, pegging the grenade into the bush. There were quiet scrambles behind the bush as it landed. It exploded, dust and twigs blew everywhere, and also blood. There were screams of German's, three soldiers got up and bolted, but they didn't get far, Pierce shot them down quickly.

Planet's senses felt off again, he didn't know what, he just felt off. He tapped Spoke on the shoulder.
"Spoke, something doesn't feel right." He said over Pierce's gunfire.
"Yeah, no shit, Pierce is going crazy!" Spoke replied. He was staring at Pierce, who just kept shooting the bush, if there were any Soldiers left, they would've been shredded to bits by now.
"Spoke. I'm being serious, something doesn't feel right." Planet repeated, gripping onto Spoke's sleeve.

Leo ran out of the ditch, grabbing Pierce's gun and tearing it away from him. "Pierce! Quit it!" He yelled, staring into Pierce's wide, crazed eyes. "I'm pulling you off. Parrot! Pull him off the line, right now!" Leo shouted back to Parrot, who was leading the half in Leo's ditch side.
Parrot stared at Pierce, it was a good choice, shooting like that, he was wasting ammo, and blowing away their cover. "Yeah... yeah. Pierce, you're off the front line, get here behind Squiddo." Parrot ordered. Pierce didn't move, he just stared at the bush.

Leo pushed Pierce back, "Come on, man." He muttered.
"Leo, replace him. Pierce, get back here right now!" Parrot demanded.
Planet was still trying to get it through Spoke's head that something was wrong, but he was too busy watching whatever was going on with Pierce. "Spoke! Listen to me, something is wrong!" He whacked Spoke's arm.
Kab placed her hand on his shoulder, "Planet, quiet down. The only thing that's wrong right now is Pierce no-" Before she could finish, she was cut off by a loud explosion, right next to Pierce and Leo, leaving dust around them both.
