A/N: My take on how the accident episodes should've been written and executed by the makers. I've done some extra miniscule changes but haven't changed the originality of the episode.

"My client is apologetic for the accident and is ready for an out-of-court settlement."

"But, that isn't justice, Mr Poddar. What my client wants is justice."

"Abhira, don't you trust Ruhi? You think she's capable of this?"

"Armaan, I know she's your friend, but this isn't the correct time to ask such questions. You're mixing professional and personal life probably because of the guilt. And I've reiterated my client's request: Justice."

"Oh, you think you can give them justice by sending my client to jail? She's already apologetic and has decided to cover all the medical expenses for Kaka and Kaki."

"Okay, let's go in your way. We will accept, but can you give me 200% guarantee that she will not repeat this again? Tell me, Mr Poddar? Any answer?"

"Armaan, I told you right? She will take her anger on me by sending me to jail."

Abhira gives Ruhi the 'wtf-are-you-yapping-about' look and rolls her eyes.

"Since you aren't budging from your stand, I'll make sure that the case will be heard by tomorrow."

Armaan's statement shocks Abhira, but she doesn't show it on her face and accepts it.

Abhira returns to the outhouse after finding 2 of the eyewitnesses who were with Harikanth Kaka wherein she overhears Armaan complaining to Vidya about her stance on Ruhi.

"Maa, I'm hungry. What's for dinner today? I'll just freshen up and come."

"Beta, shall I make your 'mumma-wali' noodles?"

"Yes please. I've to work on a case tonight."

"Why in a hurry? When is the hearing?"

"Tomorrow 10 AM, all thanks to your son."

"Wait, you're telling me that Armaan made sure that the case will be heard tomorrow?"

"Yes Maa-"

"I'm still standing here, Abhira. Don't speak to maa as if I'm non-existent."

"Oh, you could've taken a seat, Armaan. Since you're here, sit down please."

After Vidya goes to the kitchen, Armaan and Abhira start to bicker over the case.

"Why can't you trust Ruhi, Abhira. I know I did wrong, but why aren't you trusting her?"

"You wouldn't understand what Ruhi had put me throughout these 10 months, Armaan. Just because you prioritised her over me, she walked all over me flaunting the 'priority' you gave her. We were married, yet that lady thinks I'm the other woman, she brought divorce papers, made it seem that I made Dev sir and Charu fall in love with each other, called me a 'burden' in front of you-of course you agreed with her, not trying to understand my feelings!"

Abhira closed her eyes to calm herself down, whereas Armaan was shocked.

"Abhira, I-I was just being-"

"Compassionate? Now that's the new excuse after guilt?? Koi insaan humdardi ke naam pe apne Devrani ko priority dega? Don't bring that 'Daadisa aur maa ne mujhe uski responsibility de diye the.' because you could've calmly explained that it would seem weird to the outside world that would lead to dirty gossips and rumours floating around. You could've done that right? Answer me!"
