4.5 ~ Armaan Vs Ruhi

A/N: This one's the much-awaited confrontation between Armaan and Ruhi. This will be after Rumaal Sangeet (the private date of Armaan and Ruhi where Armaan becomes Daarumaan). So, I hope you guys will love this.

Ruhi had brought Armaan to his special place so that they can have a private moment away from the prying eyes. But little did she know that her world will be turned upside down in a few moments.

"Armaan, I love you."

Armaan, hesitant, said "Mai khush hun ki tum khush ho."

Ruhi became confused and a bit irate and said, "Armaan, what's wrong with you? Maine tumhara intezaar inte dino ko kiya hai aur ab tum mere paas ho, for god's sake, we are getting married tomorrow! You are my to-be husband and cannot say a simple 'I Love You' to me?"

Armaan becomes frustrated but remembers Abhira's teary confession; looks at the bench where all of his important people's names are written. Ruhi gets angry and turns him towards her.

"Armaan, look at me! After all that has happened, I too deserve to hear at least once, the words 'I Love You' from you, Armaan. Please, just say it once, Armaan. Please-"

"Maine tumse pyaar nhi kiya tha Ruhi!"

"Armaan-"

"Woh pyaar nhi tha, Ruhi. It was infatuation. Arey, dedh din mein kaise pyaar ho sakta hai? Maanta hun attraction tha, but ab nhi hai!"

"Tum Abhira se pyaar karne lage ho, I know ki tum guilty feel kar rahe ho-"

"Abhira se pyaar nhi hai, aur guilt tumhare liye tha Ruhi. Maine parivaar ko chuna tha tere upar and achanak se Abhira se shaadi- yeh sab chodo. Yaad hai tumhe? Us raat tum chahti thi ki humare beech ek illicit relationship ho. Maine tumse kya kaha tha? Yehi kaha na ki tum humesha Ruhi Rohit Poddar hi rahogi aur yeh rishte ki diwar ko mujhse mat girwao? Ha ya Na?"

"Armaan-"

"Ha ya Na?"

"Haan."

"Toh, tum yeh baat ko conveniently kaise bhulke mujhse shaadi karne ke liye taiyyar ho gyi?"

"Armaan, mai tumse hi pyaar ki hun, aur uss samay mujhe pata tha ki tum bhi mujhse hi pyaar karte ho. Tumne mujhse kaha ki tumhare dil mein meri jagah koi aur nhi le sakta hai. Ab kya badal gya? Na Rohit hai, na Abhira hai humare beech mein. Ab kis baat ki darr hai Armaan?"

Armaan had this 'are-you-for-real' look on his face, and the words flew out before he could stop himself. "Kabhi kabhi mujhe lagta hai ki tumne hi Rohit ko itna hurt ki hogi ya uske saath kuch na kuch ki hogi jiske wajah se aaj tak kisi ko koi trace ya khabhar nhi mila hai Rohit ke baare mein!"

"Tumhe lagta hai ki mai aisa kar sakti hun?"

"Haan! Isiliye toh Maa se mila thappad ke badla lene ke liye tune Abhira ka proposal ruin ki thi, Charu ka affair tumne isliye reveal ki taki mere aur Abhira ke beech misunderstanding aaye. Daadisa ko manipulate kiya tha mere aur Abhira ka zabardasti divorce karane ke liye!"

"Armaan-" Ruhi was too stunned to utter anything because she couldn't grasp the fact that Armaan was decoding all of her moves and manipulations to send Abhira away from Armaan and the Poddars

"Kya? Kya Armaan? Huh? Tumhe pata hai, Abhira ne kya kya kiya hai? Iss parivaar ko puri taraf se woh jodke rakhne ki puri koshish ki hai! You finally turned me against her, when she was never the culprit, Ruhi! This is downright selfish of you to do that."

Ruhi was shocked to hear this.

"Mai, Abhira ke khilaaf gayi thi? Tumhe uske khilaaf bhadkaya? Kya baat kar rahe ho tum, Armaan? Maine usse accept karli thi, uski madad-"
