It was the first day of examination. Veer prepared himself to be top this time. He wanted to overpower Shweta's place. Veer sat on his seat and began writing his answers. He glanced at Shweta who was looking tense.
Shweta's mind was struggling to concentrate. She was recalling Rituraj's words.
"You are going to marry me after your exams."
"D-Dad will ne-never marry me to y-you." She stammered. Her voice was barely coming out of her mouth
"you're so innocent baby girl" he smirked and turned around and went back leaving Shweta in puzzle.
Shweta's POV
He is plotting something. I know he's going to do something. I am afraid. He's dangerous. He even killed 'her' mercilessly in front of a 10-year-old child.
My father would never marry me to someone who is almost two decades older than me; after all, I am his blood, Right?
My response sheet was blank until I noticed only 30 minutes remained. My heart rate increased and I began writing my paper. I rapidly wrote the answers, and then the final bell rang. I wasn't done yet. Sir took my paper, and I counted how much I could score with those answers.
I will pass with these marks, but my father will kill me. My anxiety was at its peak. Then that bastard (Veer)approached me.
"Well, Miss Topper. How was your exam?" He said, giving me a smirk. I didn't say anything and just went on from there. I entered the corridor. I experienced a sudden headache. I was about to fall but didn't. I felt a hand circle my stomach. "Are you okay?" It was Veer. I nodded and returned to my home.
HOME. I don't feel safe at home anymore. I'd made my room my safe zone. He occasionally knocks on the door, but I don't open it. I tried to avoid him as much as possible. I don't eat anything at home and my mother gives me my food in my room at night. I know he's dangerous but he can't do anything to me, yet.
My father told me that everyone was going to eat together tonight. I was in my chair eating my dinner while Rituraj uncle was sitting on the opposite of me. They were talking about something but my concentration shifted on him when I heard my name from his dirty mouth.
"This is Shweta's last year right?"
"Yes bhaisaab"
"But, what will she do after her graduation?"
"I am thinking about marrying her to Veer Shekhawat"
WHAT THE FUCK!!! What is wrong with you dad? Veer chi! Not him. My whole body froze at the thought of marrying him. I'll die rather than marrying that idiot.
