Shivansh arrived at the address Aditi gave him. They opened the door and were frightened by the view inside their house. The items in the living room were spread on the ground, glass pieces were on the floor, and there were blood stains everywhere.
The entire floor was red, revealing the story of what occurred there. Aditi cradled Jai in her arms and pressed his head against her shoulder, blocking his vision.
"Aditi take Jai and sit inside the car and lock it."
"Ok Diti, just go and lock it properly." Aditi nodded and sat in the back seat, carefully patting his back. His eyes were heavy, so he fell asleep.
Shivansh was trying to be careful, so he began tiptoeing upstairs. He noticed that Jai's mother was covered in blood. Her breathing was uneven. Shivansh instantly grabbed her and dashed towards his car. He put her in the passenger seat because Aditi and Jai occupied the backseat. Jai's mother stayed conscious. Aditi tried to calm her down when she looked back.
"Maam please, hold on we'll reach at hospital in a few minutes." She stared at the child with affection, her tears welling up. "Mera bacha," she said. Aditi moved closer to her. She caressed Jai gently and glanced at Aditi and said, what felt like whispers,
"Jai, Raj. Raj has died... Please, s-save me... I c-cannot leave my son alone... He d-doesn't have anyone else but me... Please, save me..." She begged them. She lovingly held Jai's little fists.
"Maam, we'll save you, just keep breathing." Aditi was starting to panic. Jai's mother began breathing more heavily. She realized she would not survive much longer. She knows since she is a doctor herself. She looked at Aditi and Shivansh and replied,
"I... dont know... If I'm right... but Please take care of my Jai. please... If you don't want a child... give him to someone who wants... Allow him to live as a normal child..."
"Don't say anything like this, you'll be alright"
She gave a sorrowful smile and answered, "No... I can't..." She paused and kissed Jai's head, saying "I'm sorry... Baccha... I cannot fulfill the promise that I made... But I'll see you from there... with your father... I love you. Goodbye..." With this, she breathed her last.
Shivansh stopped his car and stared at her. Aditi gently grasped and patted Jai's head. Shivansh called the police and one of the men to learn more about Jai and his family. They transported her to the hospital. After 5 minutes, cops arrived for their statements. The body was submitted for postmortem. After three hours, his man Raghav arrived and offered him details on the lady.
