The night sky was adorned with a delicate half moon, casting a silver glow over the world below. I stood on the balcony, taking in the serene scene and reflecting on recent events.

In the past, when life felt suffocating, I'd retreat to Eclipse, my quaint tea shop, for solace. But even that sanctuary felt tainted now. Chatting with Prince Nicole, there added a spark to my days, but the guilt weighed heavy on me afterward.

"I couldn't confess to him, nor could I truly help him with his troubles," I admitted to myself, frustrated by my own limitations.

Rufus seemed to effortlessly do what was right, a fact that both impressed and infuriated me.

Enzo's voice broke through my reverie, reminding me of the present moment. "Ford, you haven't eaten dinner yet," he observed, concern lacing his words.

"I'm not hungry tonight," I replied, though the truth was far more complex.

"Don't take it out on food. You need to eat," Enzo gently said, his eyes betraying his understanding of my inner turmoil.

"What do you think Prince Nicole is up to?" I mused aloud, more to myself than to anyone else.

Enzo paused, considering the question. "Preparing the horses for your meeting the day after tomorrow," he replied after a moment's thought.

The mention of the meeting brought a fresh wave of anxiety crashing over me. I was reminded of another dreaded meeting I had - with my father.Tomorrow, I would come face to face with my father, a prospect that filled me with both dread and determination.

"Do you want me to intervene in any way?" Enzo asked, his tone filled with genuine concern.

I shook my head, though the temptation to ask for his help was strong. "No, Enzo. Let them proceed as they wish. My brother's involvement won't change my decision regarding Prince Nicole."

Enzo nodded in understanding before bidding me goodnight and retreating inside. Left alone once more, I turned my gaze back to the night sky, its vast expanse offering a temporary reprieve from the turmoil raging within.
