Chapter 2 (Athena)

              THREE YEARS LATER

It's been three years since I left Dubai.
I would say that I changed a lot basically I hate speaking a lot unlike earlier when I used to speak unnecessary. When I arrived here I stayed in a rented apartment until days later I met Ella Alonso. She helped me although I declined it but she insisted I didn't believe her at all still she didn't gave up so I agreed . The I found out that she is a member FBI soon I got accepted there as a member. Now here I am the most feared and rich detective known. Although my identity is hidden and to the world I am a middle class orphan who works part time at a restaurant ( Restraunt is mine) . I study at a college as a normal person then go to work .

I was lost in my thoughts when  Levi arrived.

"Where are you lost..darling?"
He is also a member of FBI in same team as me and Ella.. basically we are a team of three. And he is the 2nd person after Ella who knows about everything about me.
"Hello, are you here" he says waving his hand Infront of me.
I came out of my thoughts"I am right here ,and stop calling me that " I said as I rolled my eyes.
"Never"
"Whatever" we were interrupted by a call in my phone.
"Yes boss?"
"J-jus-just c-come do-wn fast!!"
"What happened boss? Is everything alright" with that the call ended.
"Hey what happened" Levi asked shaking me.
"Boss called ,he called us down. Something is wrong his voice was trembling".
"Let's go quickly" he said

We went down and the sight made me froze. Our boss (Matteo Katz) was lying in the pool of blood coming out of his stomach.
"Wha-t ha-pp-en boss "  we both went there Levi put his head on his lap .
"Li-isten "
"Call the ambulance" I shouted to the guards standing there .
"N-no need just listen , I announce Athena as the new boss of the FBI" he announced shocking us both.
"What did you just say" we both asked in unison.
I-i don't want that" I said still shocked.
"But I want , because I trust and believe you.. Everyone here is a witness and announce it off-ficially "he said his voice stuttering.
"No nothing will happen . Just hold on"
"Its-s ok I am already old e-n-ough " with that he took his last breath .
"NO!!" I shouted.

It's been 2 weeks of his death I'm still a little upset he was like a father to me , he took care of me and guided me through my hard times. Now he's gone.whole social media is busting with posts 'Lynx became the queen of FBI' . 'She became the queen she is'. 'maybe she killed him for the position'.
Some posts were hated and some are nice. But actually I don't care at all .

I was losted in my thoughts when Levi came.
"Guess what!!" He said totally excited.
"Now what? Spit it out" I asked annoyed.
"Ella is arriving today!"
"Ohh really it would be better because college is reopening from next week" .

After sometime I heard voices from living hall.
I went there and saw Ella . As soon as she saw me she came running towards me and hugged me .
" Awww..I missed you alot babe..no.no. Boss".
" Ohh..get off me I hate hugs " I said getting away from her. I love her a lot but that doesn't mean I'll break my boundaries.
"Ahh..still boring" she said frustrated.
"Always will be" I replied smiling.

We ate our dinner and were heading to their room .
"Well , remember we'll be going to college from next week" I asked Ella.
" Yeah I do remember" she replied irritated.
With that we headed to our rooms.
