The moon hung high in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the town as Onyx sprinted through the empty streets. Shadows twisted around him, alive with the dark energy of Achelios, the Eldritch demon within him.

“Let me take control, Onyx! Embrace your power!” Achelios’ voice was a seductive whisper, urging him forward.

“No! I won’t hurt anyone!” Onyx’s heart raced, a battle waging inside his mind.

But the demon's laughter echoed, drowning out his defiance. With a sudden surge, Achelios forced him into a frenzy, and the world blurred into chaos.

Greyson, Sterling, Xul, Ren, and Tixo hurried through the town, each step heavier than the last. They followed the trail of destruction, hearts pounding with fear for their friend.

“We’re almost there! Stay close!” Greyson urged, his voice tense.

“Is he really lost to this?” Tixo's eyes widened as they turned a corner, revealing the aftermath of Onyx's rampage: overturned carts, shattered storefronts, and townsfolk fleeing in terror.

“It’s worse than we feared,” Sterling muttered, anxiety gripping him. “We have to bring him back!”

Just then, Onyx emerged from the shadows, standing amidst the wreckage, eyes glowing with a haunted light. The darkness around him seemed to pulse with a life of its own.

“Onyx! Please, fight it!” Ren shouted, desperation bleeding into his words.

Achelios seized the moment, his voice mingling with Onyx’s. “You can’t stop this! Let go!”

With that, Onyx lunged, shadows swirling like a storm around him.

“Get back!” Tixo shouted, rushing to intercept, but it was too late.

Ren stepped forward, determination etched on his face. “Onyx! I know you’re in there! You can resist!”

“Foolish boy,” Achelios hissed, pushing Onyx’s rage to the surface. “This is where your story ends!”

Ren and Onyx collided, a clash of desperation and darkness. Ren’s magic flared, an attempt to reach the boy lost within.

“Onyx! Remember who you are! You’re not alone!” Ren cried, hope and fear battling in his voice.

Achelios roared, twisting Onyx’s body, forcing him to strike Ren aside. “You’re too weak!”

Ren staggered but stood firm. “I won’t give up on you! You’re stronger than this!”

In a moment of betrayal, Achelios compelled Onyx to move, and with anguish, Onyx felt himself bite Ren’s neck. The world spun as shock and horror flooded his senses.

“No!” Greyson shouted, pain etched across his features.

Suddenly, clarity pierced the fog of chaos. Onyx stumbled back, wide-eyed with realization. “What have I done?”

The grip of Achelios weakened, leaving Onyx reeling with guilt. He looked around at the destruction, heart racing. “I’m a monster…”

Before his friends could reach him, Onyx turned and fled into the night, each step heavy with the weight of despair. In that moment, he believed he had lost himself forever, leaving behind a shattered bond and a heartbroken group.
