Alaesa had watched from a balcony as her sweet cousin Helaena was dragged through the streets with her dead son.
She had been questioned the night before, the council and even Alicent agreed she had no part in "Rhaenyras" plan to murder the boy.
Ever since the council meeting she had been free to do as she pleased as long as she stayed inside the castle walls. She didn't know how Helaena or even Aegon felt, but she knew one thing.
Rhaenyra had lost her own son and she would never inflict that kind of pain on anyone, especially Helaena of all people.
Alaesa knew who was behind it all and that was her father. Whoever blamed Rhaenyra was either blind or stupid.
She didn't think any of this could get worse but a war was slowly brewing a boy had been killed and she was still in kings landing. Away from her father, her sisters and her son.

Baela left the queen's room and immediately went to find her sister. She had heard of what happened, she knew her father had ordered a child's death. Baela really didn't want to believe it. Not when she watched her father teach her nephew high valyrian the night before.
But the fact that he had left, left her and Rhaena. Left Aerion who had no one but them.
Baela just hoped sooner rather than later that Alaesa would be able to reach her dragon and leave king's landing unharmed.
"Rhaena" Baela smiled softly as she found her sister sat with there nephew "Aerion"
Aerion looked up from his book and smiled.
Baela sent her nephew a smile back, Aerion had been unplanned by Alaesa but as each day passed Baela couldn't help but think that one good thing came from her sister's late marriage.

Alaesa walked around the dark halls of kingslanding enjoying the fact that the greens were slowly being put against one another. And she was enjoying every single moment of it, well not everything. What had happened to Helaena was a horrid thing hopefully a mistake. But if she knew her father it was no mistake.
But the fact that Aegon had replaced the lord hand his own fucking grandfather with Criston Cole, well she couldn't help but find that funny. What kind of king does that. if Alaesa was sat on that throne she would have kept Otto at her side even if she hated him.
If Aegon truly thought he'd win the war before this well he had no chances now not with Cole as his lord hand. Then there was the fact that Aegon had finally stationed guards everywhere well if you could call his drunken friends guards.
Alaesa stopped as she saw the doors to the courtyard she went to walk out then but stopped as she heard a man speak. She sighed turning around.
"Trying to flee" The man muttered as Alaesa rolled her eyes.
"I assure you Ser Cole, if i wanted to flee I would have done that two days ago" Alaesa muttered not knowing that Rhaenyra had almost been killed the night before.
"Its lord hand now" Criston corrected her as she looked to the right and then to her left.
"I thought Otto Hightower left for oldtown"
Criston holds back a scoff as he speaks up "Lady Alaesa I suggest you retire or would you like to go back to just those four walls"
She smiled slightly as she walked away, he'd be the first she would kill.
************************************
No one in kingslanding had told Alaesa about the attempted murder of Rhaenyra and her heirs. Because if Rhaenyra had died her son's and stepdaughters would have followed.
Daemon had taken Aegons son and Aegon had almost taken Rhaenyras life. Yet Alaesa remained untold about everything.
Watching the greens fall apart was amusing but she wanted to leave kingslanding and get to dragonstone. She wouldn't put it off anymore. She was goibg to make to her dragon and if not she'd die trying. She would glady knowing she was loyal to the true Queen.
Over the past few days she had explored as much of the castle as she could. She knew the way she wa going to get out. It was the same way he father had snuck Rhaenyra out the castle years before, the same way Aegon was ale to get in and out of the castle without being caught.
It was quite stupid how easy it was going to be. She just had to wait till nightfall and pray no guards are outside her chambers.
************************************
Alaesa found herself spending her last few hours as the greens prisnor in tbe courtyard. She watched as men in green armour went out the gates. She had taken notice of the new Targaryen banners. The three headed dragon now yellow and the Targaryen black now green.
She couldn't fucking wait to get to dragonstone. Swear her loyalty to Rhaenyra and tell her every single thing she knew about the greens.
She couldn't stand a single one of them.
She snapped out her thoughts as she watched the dowager queen walk over the supposedly new lord hand. A man in armour wearing green following at her side.
She found herself walking closer as she kept her eyes on the man. She kept walking until his eyes landed on hers. She immediately stopped as she saw Alicent turn to the man and nodded her head. And almost immediately the man was waking towards her.
She went to return to the castle but just as she did he reached her.
The man smiled as he approached her "My lady"
She stayed quiet looking the man up and down. She couldn't help hut stare at him, he was rather handsome she give him that. But as her eyes landed on a Hightower sigil she realised.
A fucking Hightower, she thought a fucking Hightower was handsome.
Her stare turned into a glare "Another green"
"Ser Gawyne Hightower" He paused tilting his head to the side "My lady"
She looked him up and down once more debating wether she should like him or not.
Why did she have to find a fucking Hightower handsome.
"Ser Gwayne" She finally spoke repeating his name as took hold of her hand and pressed a gentle kiss on it.
He sent her a smile as he bowed his head and turned making his way to a horse. Not realising she would soon be sparing his life.
An - Thoughts on there meeting?????
