School Enemies and Friends
____________________________
First day of school. It wasn't bad. But I'm saying that because I haven't enter the building yet. My new school was Merriwether College Prep.
My first thought about it? I thought of the blue fairy from Sleeping Beauty. What? The name was similar enough. Merriwether, Merryweather?
I always thought the name was a little weird. I mean, the fairies were named Flora, Fauna and Merryweather.
I thought the alliteration was great with the first two. No offense to Merryweather, but you could've named her Flore or Fleur.
But I digress, I'm overthinking about unnecessary things again.
Anyways, I walked to the bus stop, got on, got off, then walked the rest of the way. Normally, my mom likes to drop me off the first day of school.
But she couldn't since she had work. I was fine with it. It gave me another day to map out my new route.
When I arrived at school, I found other kids entering it as well as some teachers. I was immediately off putted by the amount of teachers in rock concert t-shirts and jeans.
I was wearing a navy blue shirt with a Pikachu on it. Paired with black jeans that had small rips at the knees.
And my old red and black jacket, that protected me from the wind.
Let's see how this year goes. Will I come out liking a band I've never known before? Who knows?

So, this year, I did make friends. That was a surprise. Normally, I live like a ghost or a wallflower.
But after experiencing the bean bag chairs, no desks, and no actual assignments. It felt like I was in kindergarten. Maybe it was because the other kids didn't seem that bright.
I got two friends at school. Let's paint the scene on how I met them.
When I walked through the doors of my first class, I was greeted with another rocker style teacher and kids.
Three of them stood out to me.
Numero one, Little John. His name was not John and he was not little. He was a giant kid with brown hair and crooked teeth.
Numero two, Greasy Gene. His name was not Gene, but he did look greasy. His black hair was greasy and crusty.
And he was dressed in nice clothes that were disheveled and ruined by sloppiness.
Numerous three, Zoomie McGee. Another black-haired kid who looked like he would get the zoomies the moment someone dropped a pen or the bell rang.
Those three stuck out to me like Easter eggs in a clean green field.
I opted to just sit in my light blue bean bag and not speak unless spoken too. Of course, that went a little too well.
Books were great, love them when my head's not hurting from the attack of words.
We were reading The Odyssey in English class. I was ecstatic since it was one of my favorite stories.
