Percy's Older Sister and Her Neighbor

_______________________________

My clock woke me up this time. I was still groggy, but it was better to wake up on my own than by a loud obnoxious noise.

I slide out of my hammock and did a few stretches. A few satisfying cracks happened like every time I stretched anything.

After that, I tore open my bag. Not literally like the Hydra did. No, I just removed everything from my bag.

I laid everything across the floor and grabbed one of the sailor knapsacks. The tan bag was smaller and more compact than the duffel bag.

It was easier to carry than the duffel bag. I don't know if the duffel bags were magic or just made of waterproof material, since nothing got wet.

But either way, I wanted to move my stuff to make it easier for me. Since I wasn't guaranteed waterproofing in the knapsack, I chose to trash bag everything.

At this point, I had three sets of extra clothes, a tin of rations, a snack bag of ambrosia, a vial of nectar, a laundry bag, and a camera.

Chocolates and cider were eaten last night. So the only food options were the rations.

I took off my shirt and drank the last vial of nectar. I felt my body began to warm and I undid my bandages on my torso.

My wounds were healed on my back. My arm and my ankle wasn't bleeding anymore, but there was still pain.

One out of three, I can work with it. I redid my bandages. When I finished, I changed into new clothes.

I put the old ones in the laundry bag before putting it in the knapsack.

I made myself laugh as I thought about my outfit choices. I had changed into a Steamboat Willie shirt and we had a steamboat escape.

Now I was wearing a parrot-green shirt. Perhaps it was a sign that our next stop was the Fleece. It made life flourish wherever it was, so it was plausible.

I paired the shirt with khaki shorts and moved to the next item. Since the ambrosia was in a snack bag, I put it in the tin container with the rations.

I put it in the bag. And bagged the extra clothes into trash bags so it could be protected. The only things I had left were my dagger and camera.

Dagger was staying out, I hilted it on my side. The camera was also staying, but not out. I did take a picture of the view outside.

When I was doing that, alarms bells began to ring throughout the ship. There was knocking at the door.

"Come in!" I said.

The door opened a revealed a sailor. I took a picture. "Lad, All hands on deck! We're entering the Sea of Monsters!"

"Yes, sir." I said.

He closed the door and left. I snapped two more pictures of my room before I bagged the camera and put it in my bag.

I closed it and tightened the straps and shouldered my new pack. Then I left for the deck.
