updated letter to you, the reader

good evening to you!!
(or morning, middle day, whatever)

i'm writing a little love letter to ya to let you know that i am currently rewriting my Darlin' series. with that being said, let me explain:

Remmi and Daryl are my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE couple that i've written about. i love the complexity of Remmi's character and i feel as if i portrayed that poorly. bear with me here as i know fan fiction isn't that serious, but for the ones that write to escape their reality, you'll understand what i'm talking about.

when i first started writing this, i was super out of my comfort zone because i feel like i turned daddy daryl into someone who he wasn't in the show. but that's why i write the way i do, because i don't always follow the characters and their storylines and i prefer it that way. i understand not everyone does though and honestly, i love every single person who comments and votes on these stories of mine!! it makes me feel so seen and so heard!!

now, again, back in 2019/2020 when i first started this, i was coming out of an abusive relationship and writing someone like Remmi was such a comfort to me. that and i was writing about my comfort show??? sounds like a win win to me.

long story short, i ended up getting back into that relationship and marrying the guy. we're getting a divorce now and i finally feel like i have freedom.

now that I'm older, i understand where Remmi was and is a bit more than i was a few years ago.

with that being said, i want to rewrite this story a different way. it'll be the same plot, the same characters, but more mature. i'll be unpublishing Avenge and Prey, but leaving the OG Darlin' on my page.

look out for my rewrite as i'll have it uploaded sometime tonight/early AM tomorrow!

again, i love you all so much and i feel like i've grown up on this platform. not only in my writing, but in my life as well.
