THE GROUP WAS WALKING towards where they left their vehicle. Glenn and Remmi where walking together, talking about what happened.

"So they didn't hurt you..?" He asked, referencing the holes in her grey t-shirt.

Remmi just laughed and shook her head, "I just fell, no biggie." She told him, but Glenn still wasn't having it, "Really, Glenn, all I did was stitch up some guy's rear and help an old man." The Korean man just nodded and started a new conversation.

"So you where a doctor right?" He asked her. "Why'd you choose that?"

She thought about her answer. Maybe it was because her father was one. Maybe it was because of the long hours... Or maybe it was to get away from her long-term boyfriend.

She chose to ignore it. "I don't know Glenn, why'd you become a pizza guy?" She chuckled, referring back to the first night at camp.

"Touché," He laughed. "How long have Ellie and Andy been together?"

"Since sophomore year. I was in seventh grade when he met her,"

"They're good together..." Remmi could tell he wanted to ask something else, but he didn't. Instead, the five of them came to an abrupt stop when they realized their moving van was no longer there.

"That son of a bitch," Daryl muttered under his breathe.

"Merle must've took it back to camp," Rick assumed.

"Well now what?" Remmi asked. She wondered if they where going to find another vehicle and she seriously doubted it.

"Now doc? We walk," T-Dog answered.

It felt like hours that they had been walking when in reality it had only been about two.  They where almost there and Remmi didn't know how much more she could take. She definitely wasn't a runner. That was Andy. He was the track star in high school while Remmi spent most of her time in the library.

"Let's slow down," Daryl said, looking at the young woman at his side, "We're right there, no rush."

Rick just nodded, agreeing. It wasn't until a few minutes later when they heard screaming coming about a half mile up.

Remmi's head snapped towards the noise and began to run. Even though she was no runner, she feared for her family. For her nephew most of all. Matt was basically her life.

The group trudged behind her. Rick and Remmi both head to head in the race to fight.

Upon arrival, Remmi began shouting for her family. But it was no use. Walker's surrounded the camp. Her vision was blurred by the dead. With no luck of finding them, she grabbed her knife and began to kill some of the Walkers. Blood was all over her arms and her shirt.

She heard a final gunshot and that's when she knew it was over. More than half of everyone was gone.

But it wasn't until she turned around that she saw Andy and Elli hunched over a body.

Remmi walked slowly towards them. Subconsciously, she knew who was there. She didn't want to admit it to herself, but all in all, she knew.

"M-Matt..." She heard Ellie cry. "Oh my baby... My sweet baby." She cried into her husband's shoulder's.

Remmi dropped her to knee's. Her whole body was shaking.

"I-I can save him," She blubbered, "I can save him. Matt, wake up!" She cried. "Wake up!"

"I-I need gaws and a needle. An ace bandage maybe?" She threw her bag on the ground and before she could get her stethoscope out, Andy put a hand on her shoulder.

"Rem... It's okay,"

"No it's not," She told him. She turned around to face the group who was watching the scene unfold. "Why're you standing there?! Go get what I need!"

She was vulnerable. A sight that this group had never seen before. Andrew shook his head at the group.

"Remmi, stop," He told her. "Remmi!" She turned to face her brother now.

"It's okay,"

That night, the group had lost something. Or even someone. But, that night, Remmi lost something else. She didn't just loose her nephew.

That night, she lost herself.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

so I know Matt wasn't mentioned a whole lot, but this just shapes a lot of who Remmi becomes along with a few other trials she'll face.

but anyway, I felt bad writing this chapter. especially because I know what's going to happen and I'm sad about that too.

poor Tyler family.

until next time.
