TW: SA (almost) and swearing

(A/N: I do NOT ship Forcas and Angelica. I see them as a goofy father-daughter duo)

Angelica sighed, placing all the chrysanthemums back into a supply closet in the church. It was night time and half of the church had been covered by darkness, only a bit of it being illuminated by the moonlight. Angelica was glad that she had followed the guardian angel's advice, her heart always racing whenever she thought about failing the test that the church's cultists had put up for her.

She had become very jumpy and anxious whenever anybody approached her. She had to put up an act, an act of being the pastor's wife. It was a heavy duty, but Forcas convinced her.

"You just persevere."

His voice always echoed, reminding her of how she was stuck having to act as the pastor's wife.

Sometime after everybody had headed home, Angelica could hear whispering. She could hear the pastor's wife whisper to her, begging her to give in and let her in control. Yet, Forcas' words remained forged into her mind, reminding her of who she was.

As she closed the supply closet, she heard someone speak behind her, "Excuse me, miss?"

A pair of hands wrapped themselves around her waist and she remained frozen with fear. She didn't know what to do. There wasn't anybody else at the church, it was almost midnight.

"What is a pretty angel like you doing here all alone?" The voice spoke, slightly tightening the hold on her waist. Angelica turned around to see a man around his 50's. She noticed he was drunk with how he moved and how his words slurred.

"Please, sir, we're at a church. This is anything but holy." She said, hoping that somebody would save her.

She prayed somebody would save her.

"Just because this is a church doesn't mean everything here has to be holy." He whispered as his hands lowered. Angelica began to panic, she didn't want this, she didn't ask for this. All she wanted was to do her duty as a regular non-possessed nun.

Was it all that hard to ask for?

"Oh are we talking about something holy?" A very familiar voice spoke. The man loosened his grip on Angelica, bringing her a sense of security.

"I could show you something holy!" Forcas said, making himself visible. Even though his tone had a hint of playfulness, Angelica knew she could trust Forcas to help her out.

"And just who the fuck are you?" The man turned to look at Forcas.

"MY WHAT LANGUAGE ARE YOU USING IN A CHURCH!?" Forcas exclaimed, now pointing an accusing finger at the man. Angelica pushed herself against the wall to get away from the man silently, not wanting to be in his arms anymore.

Much to her dismay, the man did notice and roughly pinned her against the wall by her shoulders as she let out a surprised yell.

"YOU aren't going anywhere. I'm not done having my fun with you." The man whispered, making Angelica cringe yet look up at the man with nothing but pure fear.

"This is your first and last warning buddy." Forcas approached the two, both his hands in his pockets as he peered down at the man, "Let. Her. Go."

The man gave Forcas a cocky smile before bringing his hands closer to Angelica's chest, which she lowered by holding her breath in forcefully.

That was the last thing Angelica remembered.

That was all she saw before she woke up on one of the benches to find Forcas' jacket wrapped around her. The moonlight still shining through the windows like it did before she had fainted.

"You're awake." Forcas whispered softly to Angelica in attempts to not startle her more than she already was. Angelica nodded, turning around to find Forcas a few feet away from her. Her eyes widened when she noticed the man was missing.

"Did you kill him!?" Angelica questioned in panic, standing up straight. Forcas looked back at he with the same wide eyes before point at her.

"YOU THINK I KILLED HIM!?" He shouted, "GOOD GOODNESS LADY, I'M AN ANGEL FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!"

"Oh." Angelica mumbled before sliding back down onto the bench, "Sorry for assuming."

Forcas shook his head before taking a seat next to Angelica. "It's fine, really. I'd be confused too if some suspicious angel told me I was partially possessed and then almost uh...y'know, That."

"Haha.." Angelica mocked, looking down at her lap in realisation. Reality of how terrifying it truly was came crashing down on her slowly and she began to shiver.

"What did you do to him?" She asked, keeping her eyes focused on the church's floor.

"I just gave him a slice of heaven and as expected, he couldn't handle it." Forcas replied with a smirk," I dragged him out the church and left him in some ditch."

There was silence between them after that. It was surprisingly comfortable. Angelica felt Forcas gently play with her hair, making her lean into his touch subconsciously, hoping to find warmth against him.

"Goodnight Forcas." Angelica said, closing her eyes. She felt her glasses being removed and placed somewhere else as Forcas continued to play with her hair.

"Goodnight Angelica." Forcas responded, looking down at Angelica's sleeping figure. Sudden whispers filled the silent room and Forcas sighed, knowing he had to do something about the pastor's wife.
