"AND NOW WE WILL HERE SOME WORDS FROM OUR CLASS REPRESENTATIVE. ISHIOKA-SAN? PLEASE." The seventeen year old girl sitting in the middle of her class had an unreadable expression on her face, before perfecting a bright smile that could level as award winning. She stood up from her desk. "Of course. Sir." Which the teacher returned one of his own. Clearing her throat she leveled her eyes on the paper where her speech was written."As it is the almost the middle of the year, this class has done a wonderful job at leveling our academics, even being in the top 5 of the city as a whole." The words were smooth from her airy tone, however her eyes showed a different reaction from her voice. "Let's continue to work together to activate more learning opportunities." She ended and bowed when the rest of her class clapped.
"Thank you Ishioka-san." Her teacher nodded and Kiara offered that bright smile of hers before going back to her seat. She met one of her close friends, Keiko Nakamura who gave her a thumbs up. Kiara kept the smile on her face until dropping it instantly when everyone stopped looking.
Putting her hand under her chin looking quite bored. It was almost the end of the day but the girl was just so tired she wanted to get over it as soon as possible. For the most part she was thinking about what to make once getting home and also feeding her ferret, Bow.
What an interesting world this was. Back home she had remembered never being able to focus on just daily duties and scheduling what to do next for herself. Mikado City had a different atmosphere than how she was raised. But it wasn't hard to adapt as much as she had thought, she was surprised at how she was able to blend in for the most part. Well...when people weren't so annoying about her difference in appearance.
She was playing with the small earring on her left ear when her thoughts were interrupted by Keiko who snuck a sheet of paper towards her. Kiara had her gaze on the teacher, still talking for a moment before reading what it said.
Is it okay if Etsuko walks home with us today? Kiara raised her eyebrow for a moment before pondering. It wasn't like she disliked the said girl, however they rarely spoke and she was more Keikos friend if anything. But as she didn't have time to think more on it she simply nodded her head and her friend gave her a wide smile before turning back around in her seat.
"I thought the whole day was going to be neverending from how long sensei Takahashi spoke." Keiko feigned an exhausted look on her face causing both Kiara and Etsuko to laugh. Kiara noticed how gloomy the sky looked more than usual.
"He is doing his best for the most part. I will say his talk about the Heian period was pretty interesting." Kiara had defended. Keiko gave her a casual shrug before spinning around and facing the two of them walking backwards.
"Oh that's right, Ishioka-san." Etsukos' high pitched voice came into view. Kiara's right eye twitched, she had forgotten the girl had joined them for a minute. "Since you come from a different culture I guess you just find anything interesting!" Keiko blinked for a moment not expecting that type of comment however Kiara was.
With that the teen girl gave a tight and fake smile of her own. "I love all kinds of history. It's a learning opportunity I'd be able to take advantage of in everyday life. You can't go wrong with new knowledge of things. It helps you grow as a person." She skipped and bumped Etsukos shoulder with a 'playful' grin on her face. Etsuko wasn't expecting it and stumbled just a bit.
"You could take a page and learn from it as well! Kob-a-yashi~" Kiaras face hurt a bit by how wide her fake smile was and Keiko laughed at the stunned look on Etsukos face before whirling around and leading them as they walked.
