chapter eleven; first impressions

"IT WAS YOU WASN'T IT?" KIARA WATCHED. THINKING THE ANGRY GIRL WAS MARCHING TOWARDS HER AND SUDDENLY WENT TENSE AND IN DEFENSE MODE. However that didn't seem to be the case as the angry girl reared her way towards Yotaro who was still peacefully sleeping on Raijinmaru. Leaving Kiara more surprised and panicked when the girl held the sleeping boy upside down and shook him. "YOU ATE IT AGAIN! Didn't you?!"

"It was so satisfying," Yotaro mumbled in his sleep, leaving her even more angry and shaking him even more.

Kiara, Osamu, Yuma and Chika could only watch, perplexed as new members. Kiara got mad over food but not to this extent. That girl must have really enjoyed those red bean pancakes.

"Errr."

"Sorry Konami!" Shiori suddenly apologized from behind Kiara. "I served them for our guests yesterday." She admitted but that didn't make it any better as the girl now known as Konami shaking Yotaro stopped. And then swiftly turned around her glare now on Shiori.

Shit. Kiara felt her arms moving as she caught Yotaro...again when Konami didn't even check to see if Raijinmaru was placed there. Kiara pursed her lips and tried to settle Yotaro back on Raijinmaru however to her dismay he refused and only wrapped his arms around her neck tighter, using her shoulder as a pillow now. Kiara froze.

Oh hell....

"Give me my red beam back!" Konami shook a nervous Shiori back and forth.

"What is going on here?" A man with red hair asked, entering in, followed by another one with black hair. "You're being rowdy, Konami."

"Just like always, isn't it?" The black haired one commented.

"Yo!" Jin greeted the two men who entered. "Reiji-san, Kyosuke!" The black haired one then noticed all four of them and the irritated look of one Kiara trying to balance Yotaro who somehow placed himself piggybacking on her back. After three tries of trying to settle him down she merely just gave up.

"Oh... are these the four new recruits you were talking about, Jin?"

So these must have been the other branch agents, Jin had mentioned. Kiara thought. At first judging Konami's whole shriek of mayhem she wanted it to be hard to believe but then she realized Jin also had his sense of weirdness...so it checked out.

That made Konami pause again. Letting go of Shiori she turned around. "Huh? I didn't hear about new recruits coming here!" She said arrogantly meeting each and every one of their gazes. Kiara gave her an unreadable one back. "Why are they in the first place? Jin!" Kiara noted that playful and hidden look on Jin's face when the rowdy girl addressed him. The one that looked like he was going to pull something from under his sleeve again.

And she was proven correct, when all of a sudden. He stood behind the couch where her three teammates were. "Actually I haven't told anyone this. These three are my younger brothers and sister." Kiara gaped at the obvious lie coming from his mouth but what went beyond her was the girl actually seemed to believe him.

No way...

"Really?!" A blink from Konami and she seemed to take back how she reacted. "Jin has siblings?"

In the midst of it, Kiara settled Yotaro on the couch next to Osamu when she felt the boy slipping from her back.

When she stepped away, all of a sudden she felt a chest right near her as Jin caught her at the perfect time, one of his arms smoothly met the other end of the couch where her side was. He wasn't looking at her when he announced.
