NIA TAMU WAS SURPRISED AND ALSO NOT TO SAY THE LEAST. THE THIRTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL LOOKED down at her pouting ten year old sister who currently had a bruise under her bottom lip. Her hands were covered with an aftermath of a scrabble. The older Tamu girl put her hands on her hips for a second before gently grabbing her younger sister's hand.

"Kiara." The older girl said firmly before giving her younger sister a knowing look. Which she was clearly trying to avoid. "Did you get in a fight with the Igwe boys again?" As she expected her younger sister went on a rant.

"They started it this time!" She tried to defend and moved her hands around to explain, clenching and unclenching them.

"If they had minded their business and kept their nose out of ours none of this would even happen." The younger girl huffed with pride and crossed her arms. It caused Nia to sigh a bit. She knew her younger sister had a protectiveness over her when it came to the Igwe boys who had a knack for saying repulsive and rude things concerning her and Kiara.

"I know it's hard," Nia tried to calmly explain. "But sometimes you shouldn't let those boys get to you." But Kiara rolled her eyes.

"I can't, they're boys! They'll always irritate me no matter what." Nia giggled at that. "Besides they're lucky the slingshot only grazed the side of their head." That caused the older girl to widen her eyes.

"You used the slingshot?" She asked, perplexed and Kiara realized she messed up at that. The younger girl averted her gaze even more and scratched her head.

"Did I forget to mention that? Heh...." She trailed off seeing the bemused expression on her sister's face. "Oh come on! They deserved it, I'm telling you, nobody would care."

"I know their parents would." Another roll from Kiaras eyes.

"I don't care." She clenched her fist. "They shouldn't have said those mean things about us. About you." Nia watched as Kiara began to tear just a bit before the girl pulled herself together and wiped them. The older girl smiled and hugged her younger sister who didn't react for a moment before hugging her back.

"You will always be my number one protector." Nia whispered in her sister's ear. "But let me protect you for once, Ki." A sniffle from Kiaras mouth before the girl mumbled weakly.

"Okay...."

"Mistress Nia, Mistress Kiara." Koku appeared from the dining room which was behind one of the cabin doors. "The dinner table is set." Their guardian announced. And Nia put on a bright smile, getting up and pulling Kiara along.

"Perfect, I was famished! Right Ki?" She looked at her younger sister who was silent but nodded as well. "How about beef stew?" She watched her younger sister scrunch her nose.

"But we had that last week." Playfully Nia rolled her eyes.

"You're not going to ask for the Owege hot pie again, are you?" Kiara gave her a mischievous but timid smile which caused the older girl to groan.

"But that is harder and takes longer to make." Kiara giggled behind her mouth. "Alright, but you're helping." She watched her sister make a fake salute.

"Okay!"

"Okay Koku." Her guardians attention was solely on the girl as Kiara began to apply her makeup.  "Which one?" She lifted two eye shadow palettes. "Beige or Dark Red?" Koku took a minute to assess the ones the girl was holding up before making her decision. It was currently morning and after Kiara's first night spending at Tamakoma Branch. Madam Yumeko had sent out multiple photos to ensure that  Bow was taken care of and well fed while she was gone. Which relieved the teen girl immensely she kept on kissing the photos sent on her phone missing her beloved ferret already. She would have an opportunity to get her sometime the following week however for the meantime she would have to stay at the base to get ready for Border rankings very soon.
