Matthew walked into the Drunk Dunk establishment to find it dimly lit and actually quite busy for a Tuesday night. He headed straight to the bar and caught the attention of the bar lady working there.
"Hi, there handsome, what can I get you?" Justine said smiling.
"Hi, I'm Detective Matthew Colins from the Montgomery Police Department and I am looking for a guy named Luke that hangs out here." Matthew said smiling back at Justine.
"Oh Luke, yeah sure he is right over there at the corner." Justine said pointing to the dark corner where a shaggy looking guy was sitting.
Matthew now understood why Stacey called him creepy, he was creep looking and does stare at everyone like a stalker.
Matthew approached Luke while still checking him out trying to get a sense of what kind of guy he will have to deal with.
"Hi are you Luke?" Asked Matthew.
"Yes and you are?" Answered Luke.
"My name is Detective Matthew Colins from the Montgomery Police Department, and I would like to ask you a few questions." Matthew said while standing by the seat close to Luke.
"Ok, questions about?" Asked Luke.
"Is there somewhere else we could go sit to talk?" Asked Matthew.
"Sure, let's go outside." Luke said as he stood to lead Matthew out the bar.
Matthew took out his little notebook and began to ask Luke the questions.
"What is your full name Luke?"
"Luke Graves" Luke answered.
"Do you know an Ann McAllister?" Asked Matthew.
"Uhm, I don't know the last name but sure I know an Ann." Luke answered.
"And how do you know Ann?" Matthew asked.
"Well, she hangs out here with that friend of hers Stacey." Luke said.
"When last did you see Ann?" Matthew asked.
"On Sunday, we spent the day out on the lake and then went to dinner at The Cabana." Luke said.
Matthew stopped writing and thought The Cabana sounded really familiar but couldn't remember from where at that moment.
"Ok tell me about that." Said Matthew.
"Well, I we had dinner, then parted ways and left." Said Luke looking confused.
"What time was that?" Asked Matthew.
"About 10pm, she said she had an early day and I walked her to her car, and she drove off." Said Luke.
"Alright, that's all for now, I'll be in touch if I need anything else, just write your number on this paper and keep your phone on." Matthew passed a piece of paper to Luke to write his details down and stood up.
Matthew called it a night, and headed home but thought he would make a turn at Stacey's to make sure the patrol vehicle was on duty.
"Hi Mick" Matthew said as he slowly drove up to the patrol car.
"Hi Detective." Mick said.
"Everything good here?" Matthew asked looking around.
"Yip, nothing exciting." Answered Mick.
"Well, call me if anything happens and remember to keep your eyes and ears open for anybody or anything." Matthew drove away and went home.
Stacey was getting ready for bed and looked out her front window to see the patrol car sitting there. She thought she felt a bit safer knowing he was there now.
