Ann sat a table at the dingy motel she was at, looking through the curtains at every sound outside the room. Ann had been there so long already she thought she would be used to the sounds, but every sound sounded like a new one. She was afraid and jumpy and sat there remembering back to the night this all started.

Ann ended her evening with Luke with such good feelings, she really did like Luke, he wasn't as 'creepy' as Stacey thought. Luke was interesting and so many stories of his days on the force. She only wished the night had ended better, but he did have a few too many drinks for her liking and she just wanted to get home, but as she got to her car she saw a letter on her windscreen, so while fighting Luke off she grabbed the letter and just drove to the nearest spot she knew he wouldn't follow her to.

Ann opened the letter and read the chilling words to herself.

Hi Ann,

I have been following you for awhile now and I have come to know that you have a secret that you cant afford to come out. So I have the perfect solution for you. You are going to leave everything and everyone you know. Because if you don't I will just have to hurt your friend Stacey and now your new friend Luke. I have been in Stacey's space; I know her every move you thought it was wise to get her to move in with you? That was a bad idea because now I get access to you as well as her now. The flowers I leave will be nothing compared to what I will do to her. I hope you are collecting those lilies; they are funeral flowers; did you know that? You will need them very soon if you don't take this letter seriously.

You don't have any time left.

Make the right choice this time.

From Your Secret Keeper.

Ann threw the letter on the ground and looked around her, trying to see if anyone was around her. But there was nobody. She grabbed the letter and took the car cleaning kit she had in the boot and washed her car the best she could. She picked up her phone and cleared it as she had done so many times before, she was a pro at that now. She then thought of Luke, he was a cop, he could help her. So she called him.

"Hello." A drunk voice answered.

"Luke, please listen carefully, I need you to come pick me up." Ann pleaded.

"Sure, where are you?" Luke asked.

"I'm at the shopping centre close to my house, I'll be waiting for you at the bus stop close up." Ann answered.

"Ok, I'm on my way." Luke hung the phone up.

Ann put the phone on the floor and wiped the rest of the car and then walked to the bus stop to wait for Luke. She had also done this more times than she like to admit.

Luke pulled up to the bus stop to find Ann pacing back and forth.

"Get in." Luke said as he opened the door for her.

"Thank you, can we please go to your place." Ann asked.

"Of course but you need to tell me what is going on." Luke said with his cop voice now as he went into cop mode, wondering what happened from the restaurant to here and where her car was.

"I'm afraid to." Ann said.

"I'm a cop, Ann. I can help you, whatever it is." Luke said.

"It's my past, it's caught up with me and I don't want you involved, please can we just go to your place so I can figure out my next step." Ann said quickly.

Luke drove off to his house. They pulled up and Luke put his hand on Ann's arm.

"Listen this is going to sound and seem strange but I'm going to sneak you in under my jacket. I have a nosy neighbour; I love her to bits, but she will just stop us and ask questions until we tell her our life story." Luke said.
